If you really want to take your new iPhone to the next level jailbreak it... There are many apps that give you so much control over it, more than half of the "new" options apple adds to the iPhone were first on the jailbroken market...

I'm assuming your comparing it to one of the droid lines or the HTC Evo for not fitting.... I have the evo shift.... and I take my phone off the charger at 6:15ish every morning and it doesnt go back on until around 11:00 PM.... :nomore:

I have the Vibrant (Galaxy S), goes for almost 2 days without recharging with just phone calls. Im at 13 hours 30% battery left, right now with Pandora constantly running, and my bluetooth headset connected. No battery problems here!

Did you buy the special case so you can actually get a signal with the Iphone? ^_^ :p

Lol im picking, this debate will never end. I've boycotted all apple products, otherwise, I might just have an Ipod touch (love my android too much to replace for a phone)

I love this whole 50+ android phones vs 1 apple iphone! Lol! Its funny how apple unleashes a new iphone every year and when they do you have all these other phones try to beat it! Iphone 5 is just around the corner... Then its just game over for these phones out right now! Lol!

I agree with rwright...angry birds is all you need. It keeps me sane...somewhat. I love my droid2 but my wifes ipad is bad ass. I found a free program for it that will let you make free calls from the wifi part of the ipad...pretty cool.

That's actually pretty good, most of my android comrades have to charge in the middle of the day if they do anything more than phone calls and they all keep their display on like 50%. I'm glad android exists to keep the competition fresh, but I like my iPhone verrry much.

haha, nope I have the "Verizon" iPhone with no antenna gate issues. I'm only bragging about the battery because I was soooo impressed. I can talk, text, email, surf forums via Tapatlalk, watch Netflix and still not hit the charger till 11pm. It truly amazes me.

As far as apps...Fruit Ninja and Ninjump are my favorite games. Tapatalk makes all my detailing forum reads go uber fast and I'm loving streaming Netflix to my TV.

What a NICE gift. Iphone can pretty much do anything. I want an Iphone right now I'm using this bootleg look alike bbm. Its a pantech, only good for making calls and txt. Need smart phone so I can be on AG while working. :)

when i went into verizon everyone was all over the iphone section . but i went to the fasinate instead. its a nicer phone larger screen . and does the same thing as the i phone. and i love the android system ...

My favorite is the "Blackmail app" (also known as a voice recorder)

I should have known I was opening the Droid vs Apple can with this. Phones must be a lot like car wax with that regard.

However, this time - unlike with wax - I can actually say I've tried a lot of them. Heck, I'm currently using three! I have the work Blackberry 8520 on T-Mobile, a Droid on Verizion, and now the iPhone on AT&T. So far, I have pros and cons with all of them - phones, networks, you name it. I love email on the Blackberry, but that's it. The Droid is faster and has more control options within most apps, but the battery won't last through the day and the increase in options can make it confusing (at least to me...I'm a little technologically challenged). So far I love the styling and ease of the iPhone, but I'm still learning it.

Some of my favorite Droid apps are:
gStrings (instrument tuner) & voice recorder - I play the flute in a local orchestra from time to time, so those are great for practicing
Various News & Weather apps - Rainy Days was a great radar, but Weather Bugs' latest update now has one about as good
Live Scores is pretty good for getting sports scores without all the news & commentary & ads
Games are pretty personality dependent (I think refrain from sharing my favorites of those; though technologically challenged, I am somewhat of a nerd)
Probably my favorite is Speedometer - It's a tracking app that will chart speed, altitude, and all kinds of other performance measures for running, skiing, driving, or anything like that. I try to run a marathon each year, so it's incredibly helpful when I'm training.

Some of my favorite Blackberry apps are:
:dunno: ...it does email extremely well

Thanks for all the iPhone replies!!! I've got a lot to download and play around with. What a great start!!!

I went through the Apple-boycotting phase, too, but fortunately this isn't like Nikon vs Canon where once you pick one and buy a lens, you're basically committed for life. I'm fortunate enough to be able to play with both before deciding if I can end my contract and replace the Droid with the iPhone. And I must say, as long as the standard apps that everyone has (Facebook, Fandango, Weather Bug, Flashlight, etc) are easy to use, and there are some other cool ones out there that compare to those I like on my Driod, I would choose the iPhone. The weight, size, and battery are more important to me than the additional capabilities that the Droid might have that I never used.

So maybe it all comes down to personal preference...just like car wax...:surrender:

Yancy - Dude!! Between work and your iPhone, do you ever sleep? :urtheman:

*bookmarked!*

There are some great app suggestions on here that I've never heard about.

Nope LOL! I think that i have replaced the blood in my veins with all the NOS that I drink through out the day. Plus you have to add on that I have three kids that keep me busy too.

Sleep is for the weak! LOL!!!!!
