What are your opinions regarding Bilt Hamber Auto-Foam?

Yeah use TouchLess 4 to 5oz to 100oz of water. It will rinse of with jet setting on hose. Haven’t tried any other settings.

What about using touchless or autofoam in a 32 once foam cannon? Im not undertanding this pir stuff lol. I would like to try bh but unsure of howmuch ill go through, as if it works as well as yinz say i may use this regularly as im constantly driving in rain and dust/dirt from work plus lovelt traffic flim..

1.28 oz of product for 32oz cannon? That would give me the 4% pir? Lol

1.28 oz in a 32 oz pump up foamer would give you 4% PIR but it would be much less than 4% if you did that in a foam cannon. 4% PIR means that 4% of the total solution that ends up on the car should be Autofoam/Touchless. As an example, if for every 100 oz that sprays out of the foam cannon, you use 16 oz from the reservoir. Then you'd want 4 oz for every 16 oz in the reservoir or 8 oz if you filled up a 32 oz reservoir. You'd need to run a test or just guess based off of what other people have used. If you want to do a test with your pressure washer, I have a Google Sheets spreadsheet that will do the calculations.

So when using a pump sprayer dilution is easy because you are spraying the mixture directly onto panel at what you mixed it at . 96 to 4oz would mean the solution hitting panel is 4% of BH solution.

When you use a foam cannon the dilution you mix in the bottle then mixes with the water coming out of your PW severely diluting it. To get closer to that most mixture I see in foam cannon reservoir is closer to a 50/50 mixture.

Thanks mistersnoop and crack, makes more sense now. Guess the only cost effective route would be to use it outta a pump sprayer. Maybe one of these days ill pickup a ik12 or something.
Rather not waste expensive product through the foam cannon

Yeah my mix of 5-7 oz to 1 gallon of distilled, depending upon level of "muck" has never let me down and now that I'm using that touch-free carwash now it will not only wash clean but come out SPOTLESS every time

I just ordered some myself.... will this help get that light salt haze off from automatic touchless washes that's left over especially in the spots the automatic washes don't get good in the first place?

IME, it needs to be commercial strength strong to get off RTF. Automatic touchless is pretty -strong- already.....but like all things.....mechanical is sometimes need to get the film off

It will. BH AF and Touchless are legit and work better than any prewash. I haven't used either yet, but the consensus is these two products are in a league of their own in terms of cleaning ability.

Ok, I have Auto Foam and an IK foaming sprayer on the way

I now know the proper mix ratio for the best PIR (math sux)

I will use distilled water to make a gallon of solution and head to the coin- op car wash

Question

Would you rinse this mess first with the wand set to the soap setting or hit it with the Auto Foam first, let it dwell a bit, and then hit it with high pressure soap and then high pressure rinse

I feel as if the AF would cling to the crap better if it were dry but you guys have all the experience

It will absolutely do that ️Looking forward to hearing about your results

Been watching some videos of APC's vs Snow Foams for cleaning pre-soak. Miranda prefers APC's. I think I'm going to test a few products out this winter.

I even read that ONR works great as a pre-soak but you have to pressure wash it off.

I'm going to continue to test OPC, but also use Feynlab Pure Rinseless as a pre-soak and eventually BH AF.

BH AF is the gold standard. Few foams if any can match its cleaning power. Some like the new Gyeon Foam (2021) but I found it to be weak.

Just re read my message and just wanted to clarify it a bit.... I will be spraying it on before I run my car through a touchless wash, I will not be doing any hand washing.

You're thinking it will still help get rid of some of that light residual salt haze that's usual left behind....

If I were to use a RW as a pre-wash it could only be one...Feynlab RW. Out of all the RW's I've ever used its the strongest one and I may try it as a pre-wash as I'm just about out of it, so not sure how many ounces of it add to my IK Foam Pro 12, might not have more than 3 ounces even.

Stay "tuned"

I forget his name (Youtube channel) but he's where I heard this from. He said he was surprised how well it worked as a pre-soak. And that was with ONR so Feynlab should do even better. Feynlab really wets the surface extremely well. It's unique in that regard.

I'm patiently waiting to use/try some of what I have on hand first before ordering BH AF. I will eventually but want to use up some of what I have first.

FWIW, several have tried BH AF in a sprayer rather than foamer and it worked as good or better.

Yeah, it's what I've done, spray the entire car down and empty the tank and get EVERYTHING, there's plenty and then run it through the touch-free wash. I'd even say that if there's a line to not worry about it drying too much because it's cold and a bunch of it will break down, lift and come running off of your car because these products are thin, no "foam party" here, these products are here to work, otherwise create shaving Creme that "wow's everyone"

Can I get by using just a hose with Touchless? I have a gas powered power washer but don't feel like breaking it out today. I think I'm going to get a small electric one for car washing. Today however I'd like to try it with just the hose.

I can only speak to Touchless and it is amazing. The anti-corrosion properties have been confirmed and I was amazed about that. I had a Griot's garage brilliant shine foam cannon with the pick-up tube weight that rusted. After being submerged in the touchless a few times, to my amazement, it was shiny like my other one. Which makes me wonder if regular use with such a product negates the need for a fallout remover? Curious.

I use Touchless as a dedicated wheel soap as well since it is so potent.

Smells very fresh as well.
