I'm looking for a camera bag, maybe the sling type but not sure yet.

Looking on various websites...there must be hundreds of them. So I thought I'd ask what bags people have and like (or if you have one you don't like, that would be useful info too).

A bag that acts as sort of a wind/dust shield for changing lenses outside could be a plus.

I've got a smaller sized Lowe-pro sling bag that works well for smaller trips with just a body and a couple of lenses.

I have a backpack style camera bag from amazon (their 'Amazing Basics' bag) and love it. Nice quality and super cheap! I can fit my D7000 with any lens as well as 3-4 other lenses, 2 speedlights, 4 wireless flash triggers, chargers, extra batteries, etc etc etc with no problem.

Same. Rarely use the Lowe pro except for specific smaller day trips. :)

I have an Urban Disguise for most uses. It will hold camera, a zoom, and second lens. I primarily use one zoom: 24-120 but have a 70-300 zoom.

For everything, I also have Lowe Pro sling style. It has plenty of room for multiple lenses and other accessories.

We have some kind of a backpack. Not sure the brand but is very nice. It has gone on a few vacations and worn all day hiking some of the places. We really like it and it is big enough to hold all our gear so at home it is all packed away nice in one spot.

For my Nikon gear I have a leather Nikon bag that has bayonet mounts for three lenses and exact fitting slots for two bodies.

For my Hasselblad gear I have a Hasselblad leather bag that has two slide locks for two bodies and leather cups for three lenses.

I always store my equipment in them. Both bags are at least thirty years old and becoming fairly worn. I have had the stitching replaced by a leather goods shop on both bags about fifteen years ago.

Lowepro Fastback 250, takes my Canon 5d3 with 70-200 f2.8 attached + 4 slots for lenses/flashes + good space for accessories (triggers, remotes, cards...) + 15" laptop/macbook.
another medium size shoulder type bag is Thinktank Retrospective 20, takes my Canon 5d3 with 70-200 f2.8 attached + 2 medium size lenses + dedicated flash pocket + accessories & filters + iPad.
for the small size sling type I have Tamrac Velocity 7x, takes the same Canon 5d3 with 70-200 f2.8 attached + 1 lens (or 2 small primes) + flash + small accessories.

I use an Fstop Guru and a Loka. Best camera backpacks out there in my opinion.

Wonderful bag, I have one myself.

Lowepro micro trekker 200 backpack served me well for almost 10 years and it's still in great shape. I went on a trip to Europe seven years ago and bought a Lowepro slingshot 200 AW for that. Since that trip, I went back to the backpack since that could carry my SB900 flash, two lenses, regular monopod, tiny tripod, extra batteries, charger, manual, photography book, etc. Nowadays, I find myself using the slingshot more since it carries less and therefore is lighter and is so easy to whip out the camera as needed. Both are great bags and highly recommend them.
