What can I use to polish up this "chrome" trim?

I have to agree with the "nothing really works" solution. Most times you actually make it worse because the "chrome" comes off leaving the grey plastic exposed. Car makers ought to be down right ashamed for coming up with this sham chrome. It never lasts. The only good thing is that is cheaper than real chrome to replace.
 
Did not see it but start with clay bar. Check to make sure that it is not cracking off. I have used super glue under the fake chrome if it has lifted, to try to make it last longer. Then I usually treat it like soft paint. light polishing and sealer.
