What can SONUS MOTOR KOTE do for you?

Looks fantastic. I think the key to using this product is to let it sit and not touch it. The first time I used it I ended up with a splotchy mess.

I think the second coat about 30 minutes to an hour after makes it much cleaner. I do take an applicator though in the corners to avoid spraying paint I think spreading it evenly in those areas helps.

:dblthumb2: 100% correct. 2 light coats. 15-20 min. apart. DO NOT WIPE.

From the bottle...

Sonus motor kote dries to a clear, dust resistant, satin finish. Spray two light coats. Allowing 15-20 min. drying time between coats. DO NOT WIPE.

I have not used 303 on a engine bay yet.

Thanks for the good word RIFF! I have used megs hyper dressing 4:1 on my engine before. Again even eaiser. After the engine is clean, just spray on and walk away. Even if the engine is still wet. Hyper dressing dries clear and streak free.

Looks like I need to acquire some of this Hyper Dressing.

I find 303 needs a wipe down after its applied or it streaks a little. Also, it spots aluminum parts like the alternator.

Sonus Motor Kote is superior to Hyperdressing in this application as it does not attract dust

I popped the hood on mom's Corolla the other day after she had it at the rustproofing guys for their annual desecration of the engine bay, door jambs and trunk lip. I was shocked that they heeded her request not to coat the engine and rad like they usually do (???) and only aimed at the strut towers. Anyway, I had degreased it and sprayed HD 1:4 last October and it STILL looks great! Granted, she only does a couple thousand miles a year, but...

I quickly like this stuff. I may be over applying it a lot but wish they had a bigger size for this!
