Ive been working on a lot of chevys lately and where we are is kinda close to chemical plants so the acid rain marks in the paint are bad and tuff to get out of the chevys. Ive been using my PC with LC orange and 105 with great results, but i have to make 3-4 passes with the 6 stroke method. Im trying to speed up the process because detailing is taking too long, so my question is do i try LC's yellow pads, Megs New correction pads, or is my pc too weak and i need to fork out for a Flex?

Thanks

Try a rotary with a wool pad. If you dont have one, you can try the purple foamed wool pads or the new megs MF system. Ardex also makes a compound with a bit more cut than 105.

Yep - Rotary with wool for sure..... I only use a DA to apply finishing polish/sealant/or waxes...... rotary with wool and 6 pass method works great and in a timely manner - just keep it moving :xyxthumbs:

Or you can try to get few Surbuf pads. They have more cut then orange but not sure if its more then yellow.

The PC is the weakest of the bunch ... I'd try either the GG or the Flex.
If all you ever used is a DA getting into the rotary would be like asking for trouble ... Big difference in the way you use it

Surbuf + M105 if you want to stick with the DA polishers, and use the Kevin Brown Method. Keep it at speed 5 or below or the pads will die very fast.

If you have and want to use a rotary you can really speed things up with wool pads and something like 3M Heavy Cut.

Surbuf and 105. Follow with 205 on a Tangerine Hydro-Tech and it should clear up any hazing; if not, you will need to use 105/surbuf, 105/HT cyan, 205/HT Tangerine. Surbuf and 105 provides by far the most cut for any DA combo I've tried though.

If you have the LC yellow pads try them out. I've had good results with LC yellow pads and M105. However that being said a wool pad and a rotary are going to cut your time by a lot.

Thanks for the help guys. I don't think I'm quite ready for the rotary yet, I have one but I just don't have the practice time in yet. Now is the surbuf pads the same as the megs new pads?
