op, check out my writeup of KSG application. The first coat is the most important to get thin. And when I say thin, I mean so thin you don't even need to wipe it off thin.
You know when you wipe windex across a window and you see the product residue evaporate as it dries? That's how thin the first coat of ksg should be. If you have kaio underneath then the ksg really bonds to it which is partly why it is so durable. Put too much on for that first coat and good luck trying to get it off. My buddy was deforming the hood of his bmw trying to wipe it off the first time he used it.
Once that first coat has cured, you can slap it on as thick as you want and it will come off no problem. I don't recommend doing that as it is a waste of product but just trying to emphasize the importance of that first coat. I've read ppl put on as many as 40 coats but I got to 3 before I had had enough.
You can also use kaio by machine. You'll be amazed at the dirt it pulls out of the paint even though you think the car is clean.
