what did i do wrong

I use them with no problem.
If they work for _you_ good for _you_. _My_ experience with _my_ Costco microfibers has been that one gets what he pays for. Great value to use them on areas of car I don't care about.

every one's information is confusing and contradicting.

no i made the mistake of not using 2 buckets, but at the shop i bought the product from he was not using 2 buckets. and was able to wash a new audi just fine using the same microfiber mitt i had bought. maybe different company but looked the same to me.

he did not rinse the vehicle prior to his washing and i followed his advice on how to wash and dry. its not rocket science.

there is so much back talk and contradicting information in this thread.

the microfiber were in a plastic wrapped package.

but thats ok. i will toss every ones advice out the window and never let another microfiber touch my car and just go to the shop and have them work on my cars instead, and teach me there. mods can close this thread. its useless to me.

ya'll need to work together not work against each other... you'll confuse the FUK out of new people like myself.
I don't think that anyone here is a psychic to be able to tell what exactly happened without being there. We did not look into your bucket, we did not have microfibers you used in our hand, we did not watch you work. And we do not know for sure whether this is a case of swirls that were hidden just to be revealed with first next wash (which happens very often). So people are enumerating possibilities for _you_ so _you_ can _maybe_ figure it out _if_ you are willing to listen and learn.

Anything else is expecting winning lottery numbers from us on the first attempt. Three times in a row.

Unfortunatly there is no magic to detailing. As I've learned it's a lot of trial and error. What works for one may not work for somebody else. It's patience, technique and knowledge. What you learn here are options, what you do with it is up to you. It may seem contradictory, but it's just different opinions and suggestions. No one is trying to confuse you or give you bad information, they're trying to give you examples of the experiences they've had.
I'm as green as can be when it comes to detailing, but it's something I enjoy. I ask questions get tons of advice, sort it out, try it and if it works stick with that, if not I try another method. That's the beauty AGOL, I get information from someone that has gone through the trial and error for me.
Look, Listen and Learn, it can be frustrating, but hang in there, it's worth it.:xyxthumbs:
