What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

RW the Acura tonight since we had showers yesterday...used “special” lighting to assist since it was dark!

With far too much time on my hands at the moment, I gave the Ranger's wheel and wheel wells a coating of Hydr02 this afternoon.

And because I'm completely nuts, I thought I would see how it performs on the tray as well.

More spare time, so the engine bay got a detail. I used Auto Finesse Verso APC with a detailing brush then followed up with 303.

Another coat of Reload for the paint and this would have to be the cleanest povo spec Ranger on the planet!

I took one look at my truck and almost went back inside for the day.

Alas, I was, in the end, relatively successful.

I will finish it off tomorrow.

I know exactly how you felt. My truck was recently the worst it's ever been and I dreaded starting but once I got going I was enjoying it. My truck is big enough that I usually do the bed or cab first then do the other part. Sometimes overwhelming.

You Florida members are lucky this time of year. Temps were upper 30s today so my garage was fairly warm, decided to clean up my wife’s car.

I did a Wolfgang Uber rinseless wash after blasting the heavy mud deposits off at the diy quarter wash. I should have taken a before picture. You almost couldn’t see any red on the vehicle. We live off of a dirt road and had a lot of salt spread on the roads lately. I also did a fast vacuum and interior wipe down with Meguiars quick interior detailer.

Wheel wells/tires and wheels only pressure washed. They’ll be dirty again soon.

I applied Collinite 845 at the end of September. It’s diminishing a bit faster than normal. I’m chalking it up to the heavy rains we have had which turned the dirt road into a mud pit. Road film, mud and salt was on the paint for multiple weeks.

Thanks to this forum my Black Audi doesn't own me as much as it used to. No major detailing today as the DG 105 I applied in October is still hanging in there. Just a bath with Megs Hyperwash, a wipedown with Aquawax and a bit of DG 253 on the tires.

Last weekend I did a full 2 bucket wash, clay with griots synthetic clay, then machine applied klasse aio and hand applied two coats of klasse SG with the wowo method. Car was looking spiffy until this weekend.

Just did a ONR rinseless wash today and I think I will do another coat or two of the klasse SG before it gets cold again. Or maybe some collinite or some d156 spray wax?

The klasse looks good on this charcoal paint, pic is from last weekend.

Was going to drive and pick up my brother and niece from the bus. Had my stepfathers Ford Focus and I have not been maintaining it any good. We have had rain or very humid weather conditions for almost 3 months now with maybe one good weather day per week or so. This has made the interior so wet so it fogs the inside windows a lot. So just had to do a quick glass cleaning before I left. Inside and outside front side windows and windshield. Used Scholl ICE Glass Cleaner as it has an anti-fog ability from it and also a great cleaning ability from it and on the interior glass it's awesome with that it clings great on the glass so no problems with overspray or run off from it. Seems to be working good the anti-fog ability but think I will be doing them more often now so it builds up a higher performance hopefully. Worked great on the windshield too with desolving the heavy road film build up and road salt. Now the Aquapel application from 2 months ago helped a lot to get an easier glass cleaning. Mostly with when you get the glass cleaned there are almost no grabbyness when buffing of residue left. Which this windshield has a very grabby glass when it's squeeqe clean.

The paint needs a wash badly though. Will see if the weather conditions is good and do a wash after the christmas holidays. Maybe I will be doing a prewash at the coin-op and then a WW or RW afterwards before driving home from it. Have never done a full WW or RW before. So is interested to see how a rinseless wash with Carpro EcH2O would be. Would test with multible wash mitts and mf wash pads but also with the Carpro Boa Mf Towels 500gsm.

It’s going to be upper 40s here in SE Michigan today. Once it hit 38° I was outside and cleaning my Jeep. Heavy mud was sprayed off at the diy quarter wash. I did not touch the wheels and tires, roads are damp due to the thaw. This was simply to get more protection onto the paint. Plus, I have new wheels for it, just have not bought tires yet.

Wolfgang Uber Rinseless

Dried with a Gyeon silk drying towel and ww cobra

TW seal and shine to try and extend the Collinite that was applied end of October.

First two pics are after the wash. Last pic showing reflection.

Finally had a moment to try out Turtle Wax Hydrid ceramic wash and wax and Wet Wax.

The soap didn't do it for me at all, very liquidy and poor suds, but the Wet Wax is a great drying aid.

Washed my truck yesterday at the coin op. Don’t think that has happened for at least 5-6 months.

Got warm enough today to do a Christmas wash on the ZR2. God they used a lot of salt this year already.

Older brother brought over fresh baked cardamom braids and in return got his Toyota Corolla washed. It was loaded up with salt, road grime and dirt. I first foamed it with Griot’s Surface Prep Wash. I let it dwell then rinsed it off. I gave it a second foaming with no rinse. I then proceeded to wash it using several MF wash pads in a bucket of warm water and Optimum Car Wash. After that was rinsed off I hit it with CarPro magic in a bottle as a drying aid. Adam’s Tire Shine on the tires and out in the sun for pics.

Edit: I topped off his windshield washer reservoir with -35* F cleaner., checked the oil (good) and tires as well (also good.) Noticed curb rash on the wheel covers :dunno:

Mid 50s today in SE Michigan. Craziness so had to take advantage. Wheels and tires cleaned up with Brake Buster. Used Optimum Car Wash today. Used IGL Enhancer to top up Premier. Windows cleaned inside and out with Megs Glass Concentrate. Tires dressed with PERL. Inside vacuumed out and wiped down with Mckees 37 Fast interior detailer.

Also BTW anyone heard from Roger? (Klasse Act) He's as active as anyone and I haven't seen anything from him. Hope all is well.
