What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Another nice day. Another wash. Finishing with HS wet wax. Vehicle has never looked better with the TW Hybrid line. Finally a line of superior products for the weekend warrior.

Daily detail!

Blue cars turn today, suds courtesy of CarPro Reset.

Plenty of time on my hands, I gave the wheels a pretty thorough clean, removing baked on tar and wheel weight glue, then re coated them with Hydr02.

I even cleaned all the crevices of the grill. I told you I had plenty of time on my hands.

Just finished this truck yesterday

Decontamination: sonax fallout remover and carbon collective clay pad

After testing different products I decided to go with 04-06 sonax begin the least aggressive approach

Yesterday I rinseless washed the wife’s Beast. I used the many MF towels in a bucket method with ONR. Each panel was wiped twice and after second pass I hit the surface with a fine clay mitt. Each panel was dried then treated to a spritz of Adam’s Ceramic Boost. Trim was scrubbed with APC, rinsed then given a wipe down with Solution Finish black trim restorer. Wheels got Ceramic Boost and tires got Adam’s Tire Shine. Under the hood I used the remaining rinseless solution in a sprayer and wiped everything down. Mrs. MisterPaul is very pleased to say the least.

My SS is clean but covered in tree pollen. Tonight it will get a quick rinseless wash before the start of the work week.

I gave my neighbors car a detail today.

I'm not sure if the Suzuki Swift was available in the US, but this being the Sport means it's quite a lively little thing to drive. And better build quality and panel alignment than my Mustang!

My neighbor is house bound, un-related to Covid-19, so while she won't be driving it for a while, I hope the sight of it all shiny clean again brings her some joy.

Well, due to the lockdown, I have run out of cars to detail. So..................

I'm now contemplating driving the Mustang through a few muddy puddles so I will have something to do tomorrow!

I know what you mean, not that I have any pics, but I washed my dogs today. 2 bucket method of course. One decided to sit in a mud puddle this morning, and the other just had a stink about him.

Applied CarPro Dlux to the deck and rear flap of my new mower, and Wolfgang ETS to the rest.

Ha ha, I love it! :xyxthumbs:

Makes me feel slightly less nuts for applying CarPro Hydr02 to mine.

Tried the Blackfire SiO2 wheel sealant. Worked well.:xyxthumbs:

Debadged the wife’s ride. Then clay barred the thing. Will finish tomorrow then start compounding

Supposed to be getting 6-8” so I’d guess 10-12” as it’s been more all year. So over it. Was 68* at 2:45 and garage door was open and I was jammin just coating the car. 3:30 rolls around and temp plummeted, wind picks up and clouds rolled in was down to 40. Just want it to be nice on a weekend so I can detail her car and coat it

Well we got half of what they called for and it’s a smidge warmer so that’s good but it’s supposed to snow more Wednesday and Thursday and do this off and on crap all month so yea. In other news I finished claying the car.

So I tried a orange lake country flat with griots fcc. 4 section passes medium speed and arm pressure. Then white lake country flat with griots perfecting cream. 2 section passes medium speed and arm pressure then 2 passes with light pressure and quicker arm speed. Looks good but still scratches. I can’t feel them so not sure if need more passes? Or more aggressive combo?

I did try a spot with the fcc on a microfiber cutting pad and same amount of passes and pressure and then perfecting cream same as above and no different I can see.

Give me thoughts.

I did wipe down with gyeon prep so I could see true results. Using a scan grip sun match light.
