What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Well the products we use aren't available to the public but you would first steam the seats using a APC, upholstery cleaner, and a spotter together. Then you take a carpet extractor and pull up the first layer of dirt. Then you take your upholstery cleaner/APC spay on seats then using a brush tool (Powered or by hand) shampoo the seats. Then use your carpet extractor to pull the additional dirt out of the seats. Last do one final steam with APC and extraction....that's it.

Unbelievable turnaround.

The car was birdbombed while it sat at work today, so even though it was N914'd last night it's getting a WW tonight, think I'm going to try Revive made up as a WW for the FNW. I had a great experience with it as a RW so we'll see how it works as a WW, stay "tuned"

You are going to wipe the paint off that thing lol.

So I remembered I had a gallon of clean, RW mix saved from my previous wash so I changed it up and did another RW/GD method tonight. The car actually had 7 bird bombs on it, about the size of my thumbnail, I noticed more when I stopped at Discount Tire to top off the air in my tires after work (yes, I pay attention to those small details as well, especially when it gets colder) I'm really liking this Revive RW/WW.

The tires will get a fresh coat of "something" tomorrow and I'm going to apply some Beadmaker, it's been about 2 weeks for that, even though I applied Armor last weekend, LOL, need my fix of Beadmaker

Well I ordered some products this morning (I know, some of you wanna tighten up the straight jacket, LOL). So I watched Forensic Detailings newest video this morning, a MUST WATCH if I do say so myself, and per THAT video I decided to use my AutoGeek gift certificate on it, as well as an additional product, I mean AG has a 20% sale right now too.

I bought, per John's review, Sonax Brillant Shine Detailer. I know people talk about it alot here but after watching his review I pulled the trigger. While in the Sonax store I also bought Sonax Spray + Seal, i mean can you really have too many spray on, hose off products....don't answer that

Looking forward to getting these products in and using them at some point. I've got a number of products coming in over the next couple weeks/days, namely Auto Fanatic wheel cleaner, pre-ordered the Gyeon tire cleaner and Tire Express and now these 2 Sonax products. Winter is half over, maintaining winter stock and getting ready for spring/summer. All this buying keeps my spirits up during the gray and cold season

Started this last night, boy was I in for a surprise! Either this paint is in bad condition and/or Caddy paint is hard as a rock! I commend anyone that does an Escalade lol.

Looks great from afar, but the paint is hammered:

Plan of attack:
Rupes 15 MkII with Meguairs 5" Microfiber Cutting Pad
Wolfgang Uber Compound
Menzerna FG4000 (Glad I still had this laying around!)
CarPro Essence

Here is my test section on the door after the above:

I was getting some bad haze after Wolfgang Uber Compoud, which made me realize I needed atleast a 2-step correction to finish this.

50/50: You can still see some deeper scratches but a big improvement

Will get some after shots in just a bit, still cleaning it up a bit.

Hopefully the dog didn't leave his DNA on the wheel.

Applied a coat of Beadmaker and then applied 2x's Gyeon Q2 Tire. Now it sits till Monday, hopefully the road is dry and they don't lay down an inch of salt to make the roads safe from todays "dusting"

I sprayed all three snow shovels with “The Magic Stuff.” I then shoveled about an inch of the cursed white **** off of the driveway and sidewalks. None of that aforementioned cursed white **** stuck to the shovel. My twins watched from the house. They’re in for a rude awakening come this afternoon as they’re going out there to do the next bit of snow shoveling.

“The Magic Stuff” is simply CarPro Reload/ECH2O mix. Wonder how that Beadmaker stuff would work? May have to get some and try it out.

Random question.

Been seeing more vehicles come with a beeline from factory. How do you ladies and gents get the massive overspray of this off the paint without scrubbing it with clay and marring the crap out of it. I used a fingernail, aggressive 3m clay, clay towel, acetone, eventually after 20 minutes I got the spots off but i mean really?

Well Beadmaker is slick right from the start, so I'd say it would do the same thing, can't comment on the Ech2o/Reload as I don't have Reload...yet but some of my FD's have Ech2o as its base, just love Ech2o, I don't see anything dethroning it either!

Took the RS to the local pressure washer (During winter I don’t have an outside hose at the house)
Got most of the crud off just spraying it down. Didn’t do anymore as it was 28 outside.

Why don't you get a Worx hydroshot?

Great idea. You can fill buckets with warm water and blast a lot of crud off of the vehicle. Two buckets is enough for me to rinse, wash and rinse again my Explorer.

It's only snowed a few times here in Mid NW Michigan,,right now there are only trace amounts of snow here and there,,mostly brown

we have had a lot of rain and thawing though and I live on a dirt road so the Honda has been covered in mud or salt spray,,usually by this time we have had a few feet of snow, not a few inches.

Before and after with VRT, late Christmas gift I got last night from my buddy Kevin!

Well I promised the hubby I wouldn’t buy more detailing machines... just out of room in the garage to store it all.
I don’t mind hitting the pressure washer.
And I can haul buckets and washing stuff there to get a better clean when needed.
It’s only a few months I have to deal with this anyway... once the ground thaws it’s back to the hose and Spotless system at home.
