What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Slightly off topic, but what wheels are those?
The brand is Kings, cheap powder coated steel, 17x8. Available with different shaped holes, D shaped, triangle, or round, which I chose as the original alloys had round holes, and for some reason, nobody picks the round ones. I wanted to put wider rubber on it so I needed wider wheels.

Should’ve taken a before pic. Wheels, bumpers and frame matched the dirt road which matches the paint lol. Even the back window was tan and not see through. Tons of rain lately.

That's an additional benefit to the color

I really like that colour on the jeep. If I could have found an FJ in the similar sand colour, I would have got that instead. Also the bright blue they did. Definitely not the black, white or the red.

It was so easy to apply the Dodo Juice Iron Gloss on the FJ's wheels yesterday, I decided to do the Qashqai's today. No hand polishing required, just an ONR wipe down, then on went the Iron Gloss. Looking forward to seeing how easy it is to clean them next wash. View attachment 74459

Thanks guys. I love the tan (Gobi) as well. If I were to buy a new wrangler today it would definitely be hydro blue or sarge green.

Ordered some Carpro Reset. Always heard good things about it so I wanted to try it. So far my favorite soap is HyperWash.

Cool, thanks. I like the utilitarian look of steelies and was thinking of getting a set for my 4Runner. Unfortunately, it appears Kings may not be available in the US.

I ran into some more chrome wheels that wouldn’t clean up with wheel cleaner…

This time only the 00 Steel Wool was needed. No unnecessary “lube”… Dry, neat, effective. Nothing works better than 00.

Funny thing is that’s the only chrome wheel on this SUV. This is what the other 3 look like.

Speaking of this vehicle.. I’m almost done with performing an extreme restoration of this Infinity, because it was absolutely trashed when it arrived.

So bad that I ordered some Meguiars Aggressive Clay because I already knew anything else would be a PITA to decontaminate with. The Medium Grade Nanoskin claymitt doesn’t even compare to this clay. This stuff walks all over it.

I polished all the chrome, including the roof rails.

Interior was equally trashed. It’s completely mint now.

I made the decision to clean seat belts in this vehicle. You know it’s bad when you decide it’s a must to clean the seatbelts. Lol.
