Two Ranger's to detail, one day to do it.
First up was the Wildtrack. It has been a month since it's last service and is going in for repair on Friday, so I wanted it looking fresh.
After the initial disappointment with CarPro Retyre, I wanted to try it with a foaming tip. This is how CarPro intend it to be used and as such, it performed much better. CarPro supply a standard foaming sprayer, mine didn't come with one for some reason. I used a Kwazar foaming tip on an older style CarPro sprayer and it worked just fine.
For whatever reason, the foaming action seemed to clean better and draw out more of the brown stuff. More on that a little later.
GSF in the cannon today............
Top Tip - GSF makes a good bin cleaner too!
I also noted that the Collinite 845 has started fail, not a bad 7 month run for a car parked outdoors 24/7. For now, I topped it off with Gyeon Wet Coat but plan to do a full decontamination and apply Gyeon Q2 Wax in a few weeks.
My new detailing cart came into use today, really handy for loading up everything at an arms reach.
And I have fallen in love with Express Interior cleaner!
Circling back to the rubber, the ReTyre did a much better job this time of stripping the tyre to a bare surface ready for dressing, Perl being the choice today.
After the Ranger Wildtrack, I proceeded to give mine a proper wash this week compared to the rinse-less last time. I can also confirm that Express is great for cleaning rubber floor mats. The rest of the interior only needed a quick wipe with CarPro InnerQD. The exterior got a wash with GSF, dried with CarPro EliXir and the tires slathered in AMMO Mud.
Two clean Rangers, a bucket load of dirty towels and a tired DFB is the result.
