What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I’m trying to picture you shooting foam at a grout sponge with your foam gun

Somehow it’s not quite the same as a mitt…

It is if you use 5 per panel.

Emergency rinseless wash on both the X3 and my TLX tonight!

Oak pollen is out of control here in Houston, the oak pollen was around 9500 today!

I hosed off both cars then hit them with Uber SiO2 and dried with one GG PFM!

It wasn’t a “textbook” wash but given that it’s completely dark I think I did a pretty good job considering the light conditions, I’ll know in the morning!

I didn’t bother with wheels and tires but they still look good from this past weekends wash.

I’m sure my car will look like hell tomorrow afternoon or Friday but the pollen was killing my head, even with the windows closed.

I did use GG 3 in 1 on the wife’s X3 Sunday, pretty impressive so far.

What does the 9500 # mean?

I copied and pasted the local weather guys pollen report on measuring (don’t shoot the messenger)!

“That's how many pollen particles are floating around in an area the size of a washing machine.”

I can’t get myself to buy anything else than P&S express cleaning wise. Tackled everything I need it too and a gallon was less than 16oz of InnerQD

Ha… I had a coupon, so it was definitely a few bucks less than your gallon of P&S. Plus I got the benefit of UV protection so it cleans AND protects ( and is supposedly anti-static too, you can’t put a price on that)vs. that P&S stuff that is a cleaner only and leaves no protection.

Yeah, the P&S is good stuff, but sometimes I just got to treat myself to break up the monotomy. Plus it gives me something to discuss here so I can feel like I’m contributing to something.

Not sold on newer vehicles needing UV protection. I mix it up with other interior detailers that I have and don’t see a real difference.

I haven’t seen an anti static interior detailer that I believe actually works…. Adam’s still my go to for something with protection

Ok, well that’s extra cost(the other detailer you’re mixing it with), plus time is money so between the both of us now I feel like maybe I’m ahead…

Or if we’re just going for a quick detailer with UV, I prefer MEGUIAR'S D149 and it’s even cheaper than the Adam’s stuff (and I’m from Colorado so I’ll be invited to leave for pointing this out)

Maybe if you tried this new InnerQD…

Lol….. I’m sure they’ll let you stay.

I was willing to give it a try but on the anti static properties I have not read any positives. I may give it a try as you seem to like it.

When I said mix I mean between uses. I’m not mixing interior products together.

I used Megs before and loved it but I have this rubbery synthetic part of my dash and the Megs IQD left splotches. The Adam’s didn’t.

Two other pluses are I like Adam’s scents and appreciate it has Microban in it.

My biggest problem with CarPro is pricing. Everything in a gallon is $85 or more.

inner QD is double the price of Adam’s and Adam’s is a great product.

CarPro best products are relatively cheap. Ech20 is a steal for what it is and there consumer coatings are among the best values out there.

I thought it was pretty nice, cleaned the dash and other plastic bits(hand oils, sticky spills, etc) well, while also cleaning the gauge cluster and navigation/entertainment screen without leaving any smears. Overall I think InnerQD is a useful product for sprucing up the cabin. :props:

(For the record, I have both Express and InnerQD. And I love BOTH of them for different reasons.)

For me, I don't always need the excellent cleaning ability of Express, but I still want something on my towel when giving the interior plastics a quick wipe over, this is where InnerQD and Megs QID come into the picture. I appreciate the small amount of protection left behind, although that is not my number one requirement. Both Express and InnerQD add a nice fresh scent to the cabin.

If I was running a shop, the cost of InnerQD is not viable business choice. For a couple of well maintained cars, InnerQD is nice to have around.

My eyes are itching and my nose is twitching from here. Dreaded pollen season is upon us, god have mercy on our cars and sinuses!

Also CO here. I went to their HQ store once and have very few products from them. They're also apparently all over at AutoZone now. I can't bring myself to fund their collectibles creations that they pump out non-stop. I've found great things (and can't stop buying them) here at AGO.

How's the Giulia treating you? I have an unhealthy desire for one of these.
Do it! You'll love it. I moved away from AR after leasing a 2017 but would 100% go back if they find something to insert between the 2.0 and QV. It was a fun car!

I moved into this after my 400 Red Sport was totaled. There is the obvious reduction in HP but it is quick and very, very nimble. Such a great driving experience.

I've been keeping my eyes out. I'm still loving my GLI but eventually, I'll get bored just like I always do... definitely would like to get back into a RWD platform. I think the 2.0 will be sufficient but I am also tempted by some similar cars with 6-cylinder plants.

I'm an Acura guy but I've rented a few Infinitis and they are fun cars. I love the Nissan/Infiniti V6 engines and then they have the gas pedal and transmission geared to get the most out of it. Sounds like I'd love the Alfa but my next car will likely be electric and at least now I'm not sure the word nimble applies. Maybe in 10 years they'll get the weight down while keeping some good range.

Glad you're enjoying your next car after your previous one was totaled.

Alfa announced a few days ago that the next generation of the Giulia will be an EV and that their entire line will be EV only in 2027.
