So, I spent several hours yesterday washing 6,000 miles of grunge off the car

Spent an hour today wiping a door down and trying my new synthetic clay

Then we went grocery shopping

Someone remind me just why we keep doing this, over and over, week after week, year after year…

Real quick no pics...

So I used Ceratrim on my bed cover on my truck, and after a rains it dripped all down the bed sides and tail gate and splashed up on the back glass.
Never again will I use that product...impossible to put on and a big GREASY mess!

Then I go to give the Kia a maitence wash and drop my bucket and it breaks open, I also forgot to wash the wheels as well.

Hope you are having a better Sunday then me....:xyxthumbs:

Cerakote trim coating and call it a year or two…

Cerakote will crack when rolled..not recommended for pliable vinyl/rubber surfaces....right from Cerakote's CS

Sorry I was thinking it was a hard tonneau cover. You are right no coating really likes to flex. Maybe look into RaggTopp?

It was supposed to be low 40s today so I got some supplies and equipment ready to hit the interior of the little blue car

I dusted and vacuumed and pulled out the front floor liners

I hit the liners with some cleaner and started brushing and then remembered I didn’t have running water to rinse them so I wiped them down and took them in and rinsed them in the tub

I hit the drivers seat and trim with P&S Express and it was simply too cold for it to do much besides just sit on the surface

I had to vacuum the seat to get it out of the holes in the upholstery because a towel wouldn’t pick it up

I went ahead and finished vacuuming and packed all my stuff back up because my hands were too cold

I have a couple of other choices for an interior cleaner

I need to try them and see if either of them works in high 30s weather

Wednesday looks like my best shot for the next week, supposed to get up to 46

Hit the touch-free wash after work, drove home and dried off the car using Sonax Ceramic Ultra Slick Detailer. I hadn't used this stuff in quite some time and it's VERY impressive️It's in the cool bottle with the "German-esque" locking sprayer and speaking of that sprayer it gives a nice pattern and that spray itself is between thin & thick, not your economy grade product here!! It's late afternoon about 48 degrees and the product spreads nicely and with a simple towel flip evens out with a GREAT glossy finish

I then applied a coat of EcoTouch tire dressing and also hit the wheel faces with the same Sonax product to finish things off.

Used Feynlab Rinseless today. I only did a section just to try it. I used a 1:250 dilution ratio in a Marolex sprayer. ONR beads and runs off the surface. This product lays flat and really wets the entire surface area. Lubrication is great, as is cleaning. I got some on windows accidently and was able to clean it pretty easily.

I get the "wetting" action and think that is a hallmark of cleaning ability

I have seen that in some aggressive shampoos that just seem to "grab" whatever is ON the surface of the paint instead of just sitting on top cushioning your wash media

Looking good!

Edited to add the italicized bit

I completely agree. I really haven't disliked any rinseless I've tried. (Griot's, ONR, Ech20, Feyn). I like that the Feyn is just a cleaner and good one at that. Leaves nothing behind. I'd say ONR is more versatile (better on windows) and safer if that matters to you.

I think both Feynlab and an ONR type multipurpose rinseless have a place in my future arsenal

Thanks for the updates

Feynlab is far superior to ONR, it was said earlier about how it "sits on thr paint". This is one of those products that when you try it, you get it! On coated cars it's even better IF you don't want anything but clean, just like Griot's Garage Brillant Shine rinseless wash.

So we're having our "Indian Summer" right now, yesterday, today and into next week, so I took advantage of it this morning and a little bit ago

I did a RW with DG RW mixed with some old Turtle Wax No Rinse (the OG's will remember that product) Because it was basically clean from the touch-free wash after work it didn't need much but to my surprise the rinse water was a little dirty

Next was a full wheel cleaning, decided on Griot's Garage wheel cleaner, a classic product and smell. The Sonax Rim Shield was holding up but I sprayed my Meg's HCW on there anyways but this time wiped it in, sprayed another coat on and THEN rinsed off. The beading was REALLY good, should've been doing this all along I applied a coat of 303 Tire Balm to the tires and was done....for a while.

A little bit ago I went back out there to clean my steering wheel with Connolly leather cleaner, then some Gyeon Leather to feed it...well I then had to do the leather sections of the seats, ofcoarse.

Luckily I don't have to go anywhere in the EN till Monday morning. I say this because I have my brand new winter tires on already. It was a good idea last week when it was COLD in the morning, not so much now and it's not cooling down till mid-week. This will not be a problem next year as I'll have my 3 seasons on wearing Continental DWS06, just not sure which rims yet...stay "tuned"

Sneak peak...
