What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Used the last of the Ultima waterless wash plus+ I had been sent to do rinseless on the wife’s Navigator and my MINI. Had some rain recently and wanted to removed the raindrops and puddle drive through evidence. The CQuartz Lite I out on the Navigator May last year still seems to be going strong.

I've been thinking about what to use after Can Coat is dead. I am definitely getting BH Touchless/AF at some point, but for everything else I'm leaning towards the DIY line. On the fence about their coating and was thinking of trying Feynlab Ceramic Lite or 3D Graphene. But from the DIY line I want to try Quick Beads (looks better than Wet Coat), Ceramic Gloss, and their RW.
I'll be trying Quick Beads either mid-winter when I go to buddy's shop where it's warm or in the spring, either way I'll be boosting the Gyeon EVO Pure with it.

I'm wondering if I can spray it, wipe it in and then rinse

What are you going to be replacing it with

Had some Adam’s UV Leather & Vinyl Coating that was provided by another member. I applied it to the fake leather seats of Maverick today.

A balmy 37 in PA today. Normal Maintenace wash. Dr. Beasleys dash pro ceramic installed on all interior plastics and vinyl. Finished with TWHSFW as a rinse wax.

So the EN hadn't been washed since Friday and that had more to do with getting the snow off AND the road was still wet, LOL. I did the usual Bilt-Hamber pre-wash before going into the wash but this time to scrubbed the tires and wheels with a combo of Bilt-Hamber Surfex and TWHS Hyper Foam (had about 20% left so I tried something). Drove home and applied DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss to the wheel faces/spokes, dressed the tires w/303 Tire Balm and gave the entire car a coat of DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss. I've gotta say that even in 38-40 degree and overcast this product doesn't streak

I also tried a different setting on the camera to change up the pics a bit too

Puttered around in the garage today. Putting up towels lead to OPT spray wax on my MINI. Still had a little energy so I tried CarPro Bug Out on the mirrors and front of my wife’s Navigator washed if with Ech2o.

UGH. Not really detailing related, but today I went to this city’s BMW authorized collision centre to start the claim process for what I can only call a hit-and-run. I honestly can’t say when it happened, but I would’ve heard a rock hitting my hood this hard. Alas, my four month old, 2500 mile MINI Cooper SE has had its cherry popped. You always know the first blemish will happen, but you hope it’s something you can buff out with a bit of compound and a bit of elbow grease. This one? Nope.

The only thing I can think happened is some a-hole at pickup driver at Home Depot backed into me with his tailgate open. Or maybe some dickhead yuppie pushing a flatbed trolly with a couple of two by fours on it didn’t realize the cart has four steering wheels. The only silver lining is when I spoke to the claims agent at my insurance company today, she said because it’s a hit-and-run, there’s no deductible, and my premiums shouldn’t go up because I have good driver claim forgiveness.

Hope the PDR and body shop guy come through here

It sure looks that way lol! I have an Ariens as well, a Deluxe 24. I’ve hit it with spray wax here and there, but mostly just a metal protector in the auger area. I highly recommend adding heated grips. I thought it was a gimmick until I saw them on sale and ordered a set. Took me 15 minutes to install them and I don’t think I can ever go back. Mine is headed into its 7th season I believe. Just fired it up today.

Rode in my helper’s car and her dash and seats were in need. Had some of the Adam’s UV leather and Vinyl Coating I was given. We cleaned them up with Nexzett deep plastic cleaner (if that what it’s called, had it forever) and then applied the coating. Came out nice. Her leather(?) was cracking so maybe that will help some. Used some OPT fabric on the mesh fabric inserts.

A metal protector? Will have to look into the heated grips.

Edit: Found the ariens heated grips.

What heated grips did you buy? I'd really like a set because my hands do get cold.

I do have some fluid film, might give that a try on the augers.

On a side note, I messed around with seeing what was all needed to fix some scratches on the vinyl stripes on the GT 350.

I went really easy on them this time just to see how it would go.

I used a white pad with Wolfgang total swirl remover, then followed up with Wolfgang paint sealant. Didn't remove all the scratches, but looks much better. Also seemed to brighten them up a bit.

Still hoping to go over the whole car this winter.

While I was at it, I removed these fingernail scratches on my 90 coupe trunk. Forgot to get a after picture...

Something like Fluid Film.

The heated grips are great. I actually have to cycle mine on & off or else my hands start overheating, Lol

Yep, fluid film. But I’ve found any of the to do the job just fine on a snowblower.

Also, mine are the Ariens brand.

The Ariens heated grips don't fit the model we have so I guess I'm out of luck.
