What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Maybe ISH did the interior

ISH is afraid to touch Lambos.lol.
*remember that episode*? Lol.

Btw the car belongs to a good friend of mine who I’ve known since high school, so he wouldn’t BS me about this. Lol.

Oh I'm not doubting you at all but I can't say I've heard of an interior upgrade option on a BMW, a Rolls or Bentley yeah, but not a Beemer, crazy

From what I remember him saying it was the original owners wifes idea. I believe there’s a famous designers name attached to the work or something along those lines. Prada or a similar boujee name brand.

I’ll make sure to remember the details next time I see him in person and post an update to this post.

A custom job, not a factory option persay, that makes more sense

It was 5am before we left; only did a quick 4 passes on the hood with D300 & microfiber disc w Flex 3401…all I had at the time. More important was cleaning windshield and hitting w some 3 year old Gyeon QuickView.

Didn’t wanna spend a week driving around without some moving beads to entertain me.

yeah, the untreated windshields on rental cars can be dangerous. I have single use rain-x wipes that I take with me when I travel. Don't use rain-x on my personal car but it's good enough for travel.

Washed and wiped down my 2014 Tacoma.

Optimum Car Wash
Gyeon Ceramic Detailer on paint, plastics, trim and wheel wells
CarPro HydrO2 Lite on wheels
Meguiar's Hyper Dressing on tires

After days and days of being dirty, legitimately DIRTY, this morning was time for a wash at the touch-free wash. I pre-washed using the IK Foam Pro 12 w/ 1 oz of DIY Detail Incredible Suds & 1 oz of Nv Snow+

During the wash cycle the beads were incredibly tight, plenty of dwell time as a car was infront of me

I drove home to spot dry the car and used Veros Polymer Sealant @1:1 to give it some protection. It was 47 degrees at the time of wash and wipe, yep, it's getting to be THAT time of the year

My wife returned from a trip to Alabama and hit every bug on the way. I wasn't about to let some southern bugs sit on the paint all weekend so I decided to see how clean things could get with just a touchless wash on the body. I used Auto Foam at 4% PIR in my Foam Pro 12 with my Ryobi inflator jerry rigged to it to keep the foam flowing at full strength. I used the Auto Foam as a wheel clean and used my soft brush to give the tires and rims a quick cleaning while the Auto Foam dwelled. I rinsed everything off and dried with my Ego and I'm quite pleased. It looks just as clean as if I had done a full contact wash.

A few folks have bought cheap rechargeable inflators that can be attached with Velcro to the IK. If they can be set to a target pressure, they'll turn on as needed. The little Ryobi won't do that.

This isn't the little Ryobi inflator. It's significantly more powerful than those little ones one the YT vids and it's even more powerful than the IK compressor. I attached it using a velcro strap and once I turn it on it's able to not only keep the pressure inside the foamer usable it's got enough power to increase the pressure while running to max PSI if I let it run long enough. I already had the inflator in my trunk so I decided to see if I could make it work and it did. If it ain't broke......

I have a $50 Amazon inflator attached to my IK Foam Pro 12. I usually set it to 45 psi and right before it hits that I start foaming and have ZERO problems going around my car

Treated it to a bottle of TECHRON fuel system cleaner. Then a maintenance wash. Cool and cloudily out today. Finished with flex wax used as a rinse wax. Dried it off and was stunned! Looked like it was just painted. Paint never looked better. You would not think using it as a rinse wax would yield those kinds of results! I am sold.

I applied a coat of Gyeon Q2 Wax to the EN, it's currently "setting" up and then I'll remove it. It's in the upper 50's and sunny and because of how this wax is, if it sits longer it's no biggie

Do you apply it by hand and how long did it take to cover your car? I’m considering adding it as a sacrificial layer in case we actually have a normal winter in my area.

I applied it by hand and it takes maybe 20 minutes and per directions it says let it sit for 30 minutes but I've let it sit for hours before, no problem with removal

Have you used it before?

My first time using the Tapatalk app to upload a pic. It automatically resized the pic & added a lot of aliasing.

Nice truck, I like that colour. I was having the same issue with Tapatalk screwing with my photos, so I now resize them in the free Photoshop app before uploading. You can also fix other issues. I usually crop, add clarity, dehaze, and sometimes play with contrast, then save them at 800 X 600 pixels. This way Tapatalk accepts them without adjusting them. The PS app must use automatic anti-alias filters.

Nope. Coatings got me into detailing but enjoy taking my time when the weather is good, like now, and giving my paint a nice massage. I’ve got Gyeon Synchro so this is compatible and may be just the product I need for a nice cool Sunday detail.

Thank you! I downloaded the Photoshop app & uploaded a new pic to my original post. I appreciate it!

Oh yeah, not only will you love using Gyeon Q2 Wax but it's made to work WITH your coating...plus the GLOSS and SLICKNESS, enjoy

Is that the same for all the Gyeon Evo coatings?
