What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Snapped a quick photo before heading out this AM...Maybe there's such a thing as too much? This is about 24hrs after PA Viking to dry with PA High Gloss 1hr later to finish.

I like the Purest Si02 tire shine though!

I did think about cleaning the car.........Does that still count??

55 degrees on February 1st...are you kidding me...AND the sun is out, LET'S DO THIS

Made up some Griot's Garage Ceramic Rinseless Wash, grabbed my IK sprayer and the Legacy sponge and got after it. Before washing though I sprayed the tires & wheels w/ Griot's Garage tire/wheel/mat cleaner and let it dwell while I washed the EN

So this is my 2nd use of this brand new product from Griot's Garage and I'm a BIG fan! It cleaned well, made the paint smooth and glossy and leaves behind some protection, lots of win there. I also used some of the solution to clean the engine bay, it wasn't too bad but now...BETTER

With the left over solution I rinsed off the tires & wheels really good, then used Griot's Garage Best of Show detailer to finish off the rim faces. I came back after putting away my supplies and applied...no not a Griot's Garage product but rather Pure:est tire dressing, LOVE that stuff

I thought I got a good parking spot at the shopping centre today, I didn't realise my mistake till I came back, leaking pipes, and birds, I should have just parked in the sun. Got the hose out and sprayed the area when I got home, it didn't need any chemical intervention, and just patted it dry after, to avoid any water spots.

It was the right weather for a wash today, not too hot, and a bit cloudy. So I hosed off the FJ on the lawn, then moved it inside for a RW with Ech2o. It wasn't very dirty, so it was quick and easy.

I wanted to tidy up the black trim, and I've also been trying to use up some old products I've got on the shelf, so I grabbed a bottle of Black Wow that I've had for about 10 years. I bought it when I had my Holden Crewman Cross 8, which also had quite a lot of black trim that always needed treatment. Even after today I'm barely half way through the bottle, it spreads so thin. I applied it using the TW coating and sealant applicator that I bought last week, which worked well, it was easy to hold, and it squeezed to tight spaces well, and there was no risk of scratching adjacent paint.

How long does the Black Wow last on the trim?

That's the $19.99 dollar question. It's been so long since I used it I don't remember. I can't really call this a proper test either, I didn't prep the trim with an Eraser wipe down before hand, I remembered at the end, so I wiped the cowl vents before I did them, but that's it. I am leaving inside overnight, to let it "cure", probably not the right term, but you know what I mean. It does say to wipe the excess off with a wet paper towel.

When I look up where I bought it, CCP, it still has a listing, but it's out of stock, and if you click on it, it takes you to Gyeon Q2 Trim, I guess they're trying to tell me something.

ZAS have it listed too, but also out of stock.

Have you tried Solution Finish? It's a great product, just don't knock the bottle over like I did.......................

Did an Absolute RW on my g/f's Cruze this afternoon. I pre-treated the tires & wheels w/Griot's Garage tire/wheel/mat cleaner and they really needed it (she off-roaded the passenger side tires)

I finished it off using Griot's Garage Best of Show detailer and maybe later I'll add some tire dressing to her Continentals

Neighbor found an 11K mile Z3. He replaced the 1997 dated tires. I polished it with 3D One with a CBeast. After Xpel on the front I'll apply Gyeon Can Coat.

Took my car to the touchless/self wash car wash. I had been there previously and used tokens in the self wash bay. But the machine didn't register them so I had to use my credit card. I called them and explained it and they said to stop by during the hours someone is there and they'd give me a free wash. So today I got the $20 extreme wash for free. Car still came out dirty and I think the pressure is so high in the touchless wash that it removed some Dr. Colorchip repairs or worsened some rock chips. So there will be some touchup to do.

Did a RW when I got home. Mixed up 2 gallons of Griot's BFRW. Filled my sprayer with a half gallon and put a gallon in my bucket. I dumped anything left in the bucket and sprayer when I was done since I don't know when the next wash would be (unlike summer time).

Hmmmm. Should have taken some pictures.

I started out with plans to give my car and the wife's their first hand wash since the cold weather set in back in December. Then my daughter came home from college for the weekend. So...I ended up washing all three to include tire dressing and a bit of an LSP boost. Finished up yesterday with a quick clean of the interior of my car with a vacuuming, wipe down, leather cleaner on the steering wheel, and cleaned the all weather mats.

We've had light rain all day, and having driven the Qashqai I realised the wipers were performing sub-par. So I took them off and cleaned up the rubber, used a product called Rubber Roller Restorer, it's supposed to remove contamination from rubber rollers in office machines. You can see in the second shot all the gunk it removed from the blades. Last shot shows the blades looking as good as new, these blades are original, about 8 years old.

Took a long weekend. After getting back from a oil change and tire rotation, gave it a good wash and interior. Detailed the engine this time around. Finished with flex wax as a rinse wax and #253 on tires. Truck is a close to being new as it's going to get!
