What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Did a quick Touchless wash on my g/f's Cruze this morning

Used 4 oz of Bilt-Hamber Touchless and 1 oz of Adam's carwash soap in my IK Foam Pro 12 and got after it. I let it dwell and rinsed away and then decided to boost up her protection with some Gyeon WetCoat...THEE G.O.A.T of spray on, rinse off products

Once I dried the Cruze off I had to run to thr grocery store and once back I applied a fresh coat of TW Mr. Cartoon Tire Coat and now it's fresh, clean and protected...oh yeah, had to add some oil too

After a 47-hour week, hit the driveway this morning on very little sleep. Needed the therapy bad. Beat the sun and heat again. Normal weekly Maintenace wash on the truck. Done.

Did a little "spruce up" on the EN's seats and door panel inserts yesterday...in the humidity

I started by cleaning the leather bits with Griot's Garage leather cleaner applied on a Scrub Ninja, what a great cleaning tool these are

Next I used DIY Detail Interior Ceramic and my trusty Colourlock brush to treat all my Alcantara bits...AMAZING product, works on ALL my Interior parts but this time, just the fancy inserts, shiftknob, boot, hand brake handle and armrest

I finished up by treating the leather sections with Griot's Garage Leather Care Spray, I've got a couple leather treatments but this one felt right yesterday but Geist wad staring me down

This afternoon, when I got off of work, I looked at my Interior and DAMN it looks good, steering wheel feels GREAT!! When brushing the DIY Detail Interior Ceramic into the Alcantara and brushing it the same way it transforms it into a "like new" look AND feel

Wash time for the FJ, we must have had some light rain a couple of days ago, there were little dust spots all over it.

I found I had some Carpro Lift leftover in my IK sprayer, so I used that up to help release the dirt, then rinsed with the Ryobi pressure washer. Followed up with a quick 2B wash with Reset, and another rinse. Then moved it back inside to dry it off, glass first with the assistance of Clarify Phobic. I dried the paint with my favourite twisted loop drying towel, using NV Boost V2 as a drying aid, this is the first time I've used a drying aid with this towel, but I've had it about 10 years, so I don't think I need to keep it pristine anymore, I already have it's replacement in the cupboard ready to go.

I had an natural car wash (rain). It was a deluge when dropping off some donations but nice to see the paint sheeting/beading!

As long as you've got a good coating, I think a deluge is better than light rain, which tends to leave dirty spots.

My first customer just bought this really nice Mini for his 16 year old daughter. She got the works; Gyeon Syncro and CanCoat on the trim and windshield. Of course I threw him a little discount for being a repeat customer. Gotta reward customer loyalty. Now my 11 year old daughter has it in her mind that she deserves a car this nice when she turns 16.

Here’s a little eye candy for wheel Wednesday. Turning wheels purple is right behind using a foam cannon on my list of favorite things to do when washing a car.

No good deed goes unpunished.

It’s all good. I’ve got the perfect proposition. If she can keep her room clean for a week she can get a Mini or something comparable. Knowing my daughter this will never happen and I’ll be off the hook for a car.

After trying to do a "quickie" WW before going to a little car get together, I learned a lesson...can't use something infused with caranuba to clean paint that's probably a little warmer than you think AND has sap on it, a 2BM RW wash using either the GD method or quality RW sponge...lesson learned

So today, after work and before picking up my daughter from daycare, I got after it...HAD TO

I decided to use ASD Hero as a RW and 2BM w/ the DIY Detail Legacy sponge, my favorite

I worked in the shade and it's about 83 degrees and a slight breeze...PERFECT! My 2nd experience was even better because the GLOSS & SLICKNESS is present, can't be denied

I finished with a quick vac and interior spray scent from the Griot's Garage Stinky Be Gone collection, forgot which one, I've got all 5 of them

Once I got home I applied some Griot's Garage Black Shine on the tires, will level it later...to be on the safe side

1st was this Hybrid Ceramic Trim Restorer. Stuff seems to work really good and it’s said to last a good long time. I used it on my windshield cowl and on the plastic trim underneath my rocker panels.

Next product I tried was this Ultimate Glass Cleaner & Water Repellent. This is some really good glass cleaner. I might have to pick some of this up for personal use.

I've been using the Ceramic Trim since it came out, I really like it. It has lasted decently for me too.
Was there any talk of the water repellancy of the window product? I just picked up a bottle last weekend, haven't used it yet.

Took my g/f's Cruze to the touch-free wash this evening, much needed wash

I used 4 oz of Bilt-Hamber Touchless and 1 oz of Adam's carwash soap and it came out great for the pre-wash and finished pass through the wash

Tomorrow morning I'll touch things up, wipe down the tires & wheels with a random QD before we take her Cruze to Safelite for hopefully a "Safelite repair" of a small crack in the windshield as repairs are less than her deductible...stay "tuned"

Do you ever worry about the soaps eventually dulling your paint or are you cool with going the touchless route because you always have a sacrificial layer of protection on your vehicles?
