What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I saw that video. Only thing that stuck out to me was he did a pre soak (foaming with an APC) followed by a rinse less but didn’t do any pre soak with the rinse less. He also use one microfiber for the rinse less and never rinsed it out.
I can only assume he did both of those as he stated he removed vast majority of the dirt with the foaming/APC presoak
I think that was what I picked up on, not rinsing out the wash media and no rinseless pre soak

Removing the vast majority is all well and good but not having that little extra bit of insurance from a RW pre soak is silly to me

What occurred to me was the following.. if I already had a pre soak done with shampoo and an APC then it would be easier to just foam the vehicle down a second time with just the shampoo and then do a contact (2 bucket) wash with shampoo instead of getting out an mixing up the rinse less. I mean one would already have all that stuff out

This 2018 Accord used to be the wife’s car but belongs to my son now. He was staying here a few days so I cleaned his car.
Cleaned the wheels and tires with Brake Buster. Did a presoak with Dark Fury and Cherry Foam combo. Afterwards did a rinse less with Duragloss and used TEC 582 as a drying aid.
Removed all the carpeted mats and scrubbed them with Fire Power and then hung them up to dry. Vacuumed out the interior and wiped everything down with the Duragloss. Dressed the dash and door panels with Aqua Gloss and dressed the seats with leather conditioner. Swapped in the Weathertech mats and put the carpeted mats away till Spring.

In my entire life I know my father never once washed any vehicle of mine. I'm pretty sure the point of having children was so that WE could wash HIS stuff (and mow and shovel and . . .).

I don't think my father ever washed any car of his unless it went through a car wash. With 5 sons we did all the yard work which basically was cutting the grass and cleaning up the leaves in fall.
I also do any types of repairs here remodeling, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs, appliances repairs, automotive, everything. I don't call repairmen. If I can't fix something it pisses me off and then I take a vow to keep at it till it's fixed.
My father never did any of that either so I was self taught by screwing stuff up then realizing how to do it better next time.

My Father would always wash his cars his neighbor's always said dad had the cleanest car ion the n

Today just a quick rinse less wash with Duragloss for the CRV and the Tacoma. Didn’t even do the wheels and tires.
For a drying aid the CRV got my special sauce with Optimum products and the Tacoma got TEC 582.

ADS Phobic first time useage today. Neighbors VW was the test subject. They got a deal cuz all they wanted was a simple exterior wash detail. Their other vw got the same treatment a while back with LSP being ADS ceramic sealant.

They are older but do wash their vehicles and keep clean. Although only using some brand of wash/wax and a beach towel to dry. Simple green on the interior. One has lung issues so they dont use chemicals.

The vw got a heavy dose of chemicals today.

Sidero undiluted on wheels then rinse
ADS decon in the wheel bucket.
Primus 2.0 1:20 mix pre spray to melt bug guts.
Primus 2.0 1:10 foam cannon.
Last bit of adams irom remover on all paint. Purifica 1:400 bucket wash
Nanoskin fine clay mitt with n914
Wax/grease remover wipedown
ADS Phobic application with autofiber applicator
ADS amplify on wheels
Megs m40 on tires

Phobic is no joke, it was far easier for me to use compared to a can coat evo.

It is the slickest thing i have felt yet.
Wipe off is effortless.

Did the whole car in not even a half hour. Im sure i could cut atleast 10 minutes off after using it another time or two.

I could not be happier with ADS Phobic. If it hold up to its claims this will be a great product to keep on the shelf to use.

Yes for me it was.

I always had a problem with streaking when i used can coat on darker colors.

Phobic is so slick while wiping off, and i had no issues with streaking or high spots. And for me it was basically wipe on wipe off. I applied it like a normal coating, i forgot to try the circular application method they reccomend doing.

Happy wife, happy life. Been awhile since I've been able to get to this one and it sometimes gets as much as 120 miles a day now.

Nothing real special except I fell for the Adam's Fall Pumpkin Spice kit. Really wasn't a bad deal after a coupon and now the garage smells like Fall.

Finished off with PA Cosmic Spritz - been awhile since I grabbed this and forgot how easy all the PA stuff is to use.

Last week I did some leather winter prep and put Leather Shield all over the inside. Still needs some interior touch-up (sunscreen on black plastic is my next battle) but looks a little more loved for now.

Appreciate the Phobic review from a trusted source. I've been seeing a lot of positive hype around it.

I'm holding out until they have a smaller bottle available. I'd love to see an ADS Phobic and Prep bundle if they get creative. If they keep it at only 90ml it might be in version 2 or 3 before I get through my other ceramic products waiting to be tried.

Well today I took about an hour and cleaned the interior of my Mustang convertible. Didn't take any pics so you will have to use your imagination. A convertible sure makes interiors easier to clean when one puts the top down.
Vacuumed out the interior, wiped everything down with ONR, dressed all the plastics and put conditioner on the leather.
Might wash it tomorrow.

They were a mess. Pulled out the barrel blade for them but honestly, that image has the advantage of the 10ft rule working for it. Plenty of room for improvement.

I am jealous of her tires though. I think those CrossClimate tires look so good all cleaned up and dressed. Slightly aggressive look but a smooth ride.

Does mower detailing count? :p

Starting off, I rinsed the unit down, then used Wise Guy and an old boars hair brush to clean the deck and wheels. Another rinse, I grabbed some Carpro Hydr02 Lite and applied it to the deck and engine cover. After drying with the EGO, the evergreen Meguiar's Hyper Dressing went on the engine plastics, wheels and catcher.

Not bad for a 10-year-old lawn mower..............................................

Sitting next to my very well used example with the crappy Krohler engine. Both of these were manufactured at around the same time, one worked for a living, one a stay-at-home parent. Safe to say, that mower paid for a Mustang GT and most of my detailing supplies over the years.
