What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

How are you dealing with the possibility of over pressurizing those or do they all have some sort of relief valve already?
They all have relief valves. I have two more IK pump sprayers, a pro foam 2 and a pro foam 12. Those came with schrader valves.

I guess some of you aren't old enough to remember the generic white or yellow boxed products at the grocery store; stuff like mac n cheese that was about half the price of Kraft

Many years ago I was sent to the grocery store and came home with about 75% of the items bought were those generic white boxed products.
I was I'mmediately relieved of the responsibility of going to the grocery store.

I have the same 2 IKs

I am always kind of freaked filling the 12 with air from my compressor because it can take longer than I anticipate and unlike the IK2, the relief valve on the 12 doesn't have that snappy "I am full" message that the 2 does

It is more like "yeah, I might be close, maybe not, keep filling me and if I explode it sucks to be you"

It doesn't like me apparently

Well done, sir!

There was a comedian years ago who had a bit like that where his wife asked him to do the laundry while she was out...and that was the last time he had to do the laundry.

Can’t say I am in this habit but it might be a good idea to manually operate the relief valve each time one goes to use the sprayer if the plan is to fill it with a compressor.
Just to make sure it is free and clear. An exploding pump sprayer might mess up one’s day.
I always empty them via the relief valve after using them but it could be weeks between using the same sprayer.

I do the same, I use the relief valve to release the pressure each time on both sprayers

I have gotten into the habit of pouring leftover chemicals out of the 2 and running clean water through it but it’s kind of cumbersome with the 12 so I leave it loaded

I’ll probably live to regret that

I dump the remaining chemicals from both foamers and flush with water. The four sprayers I added the.valves to I don't empty. Three of them have different brands of rinseless wash and the forth has water. The one with water is just use to rinse wheels and tires if I don't feel like getting out the hose.
But as we transition into winter I will most likely be using the foamers and the hose more. So when I go that route I think it makes more sense to continue with shampoo and 2 buckets instead of rinseless.
Of course unless I would have to wash in the garage. Then I'd go rinseless.

I don’t dump my garden sprayer either since it’s just my rinseless prespray

I took the 12 with me to the tunnel wash last winter with a liter of Auto Foam and pumped to capacity and I could get the rear end, the worst of the rest of the car, and maybe a second spray on the rear end before it ran out of oomph

I should probably start dumping it back and rinsing it out so it can live as long as possible

Most of his products are out of stock. As I said, he seems to be blowing out all his inventory to get out of that business, he has a separate site for detailing services.
They come and go. They do periodic restocks and typically sell it very quick. That's why I'm thinking some sort of cheap white label off AliExpress type of thing with the wait time between being the shipping.

I'll probably never know for sure but nothing that they sell is anything I can't live without. I've got some others that are small business (vet owned) and likely much more legit for not a lot more. I'll admit, this one for $5 did surprise/impress me though.

Yeah Im a late bloomer to rinseless wash. I've only been using it a couple years. I can recall washing the cars in the driveway and the rinse water was freezing on the paint. I'd have to pull the car in the garage and let it thaw out just to dry it off.

Anybody have this Ryobi compact blower? Don't think I'd want this to blow a whole vehicle but it looks ideal for wheels and tires, mirrors, grill, etc. I've watched a few videos and it's gets great reviews. It's only $100.00 and less than another $100.00 for two batteries and a charger.
Was looking at the Ego blowers but they are huge. Think the size of the Ryobi is a big advantage. Can have blower in one hand and towel in the other. The Pic is deceiving as the stubby end can be mounted right on the blower making it much shorter.

So it rained Monday night and on into Tuesday morning, so the EN was "dirty"...or so I thought

Getting off work today, a beautiful day, I literally had to look for dirt, even in the nooks it was barely noticeable (Gyeon Q2 Wet Coat doing its thing there) but on the paint itself...ZERO️...the glass, couldn't see anything there, CarPro Clarify Phobics, these 3 products laugh at rain/dirt

For this wash I went touch less, 4 oz of Griot's Garage Foaming Surface Wash in my Griot's Garage foam gun, foam, dwell, rinse & dry...DONE

Btw I treated the tires to a "boost up" courtesy of Pure:est tire dressing Monday evening, it too laughed at the drive in the rain! Now your probably asking...."why not ADS Tire dressing"...well, because I hadn't used Pure:est in a while, that simple and as you can see, a simple foam/dwell/rinse & wipe there left them looking how you see them, stuff is also AWESOME

I've got some more ADS products coming in this Friday, can't wait to try the Ceramic Spray especially, this coating is going to be maintained alot until the Midwest goes "Midwest", then it has to hold its own until a "nice" day rears it's head and/or my monthly, maintence wash happens...can't wait for that because it will be a foam cannon and awesome power washer, plus 60+ temps and EGO dryer, then an hour of spray, wipes and long looks

Klasse,
Car looks great. It's a shame you don't have a garage for it. Do you at least have covered parking or is it exposed to the elements 24/7.

Outside 24/7

We're looking to move, covered parking of some kind is #1, so we'll see

Thank you for the kind words, I only know one way, as long as I can...I WILL

Well if it makes you feel any better I have three vehicles and my wife has one. I have a two car garage. Tried years ago to put an addition on and turn it into a 4 car but couldn't get it together. Anyway I put my Mustang into climate controlled storage about second week of November. My wife then puts her car into the garage till April when the Mustang comes back out. But my Tacoma sits outside 24/7. Always has.

I'd think the Chevelle SS would be in the climate controlled spot

Nooooo. The Chevelle stays in my half of the garage year round. Want that one close. The Mustang actually goes into an underground (old limestone) mine. It's about 70 miles away. There are hundreds of cars in there, boats, RVs. Stays a constant 65 degrees and low humidity. Plus it's less than $100.00 per month so it's reasonable. There are several such old mines in this area that do the same thing.

That's really cool, literally, does it get dusty down there

Well it's got a gravel roadway so when cars drive on it they kick up some dust. But I put a layer of sealer on it right before taking it there and I put a cover on it. But yeah it gets a little dusty but not too bad. It's not like cars are constantly going in and out. Most are like me they go in about this time of year and come out in spring. But one can store their car/boat/RV in there long term such as someone that would be leaving the area for several years.
It's not like a mine that goes deep underground it kind of is built into a mountain. Very hilly in this area. It's quite large.so it's fairly level driving in and level inside.
