I like those fatter handles

I had one let go into my mitt bucket at the start of a wash and it shut everything down until I could get about a dozen mitts individually inspected for shrapnel

Where did you get those fatter bucket handles? Do you have to cut off the old handle or does it snap over the original smaller handle?

So I had some time after work, so knocked out a RW. I reached for DIY Detail v2 RW, ADS Ceramic Spray Sealant as a drying aid...the stack is strong with this one️

I used 4 of the ADS 350 GSM mf towels (Autofiber) and 1 Eagle edgeless mf towel, plus the usual designated mf towel for the tires, wheels and engine bay...the EN came out great, the gloss and slickness isn't getting old and I'm just enjoying this 2nd round of "Indian Summer", tomorrow 81 and Wednesday 79

So we've had 40+ mph winds today, PLUS 82 degrees...CRUSHED the record, just like Pan has crushed ALL detailing products with his line, so the EN had a light film of dust...I'm all over it

For this cleaning I decided to revisit Griot's Garage waterless wash but this time read the directions

I grabbed 5 of my 350 GSM purple Eagle edgeless mfs and got after it. The topsides are where I paid close attention to both technique AND dirt build up on the mf towel. I went around the EN rather quickly and now it's GLEEMING, knocked out the tires & wheels with a designated mf and now I'm done

Today I did a presoak with a combo of Dark Fury and Cherry Foam. Followed that up with a two bucket wash with Slick and Slide.
Didn’t use a drying aid as I recently did some painting on the exterior window frames of both drivers and passenger doors and don’t want to cover that for a while. LSP is holding up fine anyway.
Still need to polish out the portions that I painted and have one very small area I have to wet sand due to a small area had to paint a second time.

I had every intention of doing some paint correction yesterday but when I opened my new bottle of Griot’s Perfecting Cream and removed the seal I got this

Just a little bit thick, wouldn’t you say?

I contacted Griot’s and they confirmed it should be a semi thick liquid, not a heavy paste

They said they would replace the product

One of these days something is going to go right for me regarding detailing products

It's not that cold yet, low 20s and actually possibly into the high 30s next week

I keep track of the tracking numbers and can generally get over to the bank of mailboxes pretty quickly after they send a delivery email and get stuff before it's too cold

Took pocession of Feynlab RW v3 yesterday, FNW could be in effect, if not Saturday for sure! Last time I had this was 3 years ago, v1 and I'm looking forward to the PURE clean of this product!! The EN got rained on Wed night/Thursday morning and has been pelted with 45+ mph winds, so it's dirty AND dusty, perfect situation for this outstanding RW

It's a real SS. I pulled the numbers matching 396 from it in 2018, which I have socked away. It now has a 496 with 600 horsepower and a 5 speed manual transmission. Nobody but me has worked on it in last 25 years. Although I had it painted in 2016. I'm not much of a body guy so I had a resto shop paint it. That's the original color, Garnet Red.

Thinking of swapping to a 540. Have no mods to the frame. Have you done any and if not how does she drive with 600hp?

I also use to own a convertible Mustang 2016 GT. Probably one of my favorite cars…

I watched a few more YT video reviews. I also washed tje the wife's car. I used Griots Bug remover and this is something to use as a pre-wash given it needs to be washed off

I see too many reviews done using rides that are not dirty enough for a review. I expect any soap would clean, feel slick, and rinse well on a fairly clean maintained vehicle especially if it is coated! If not something is wrong! I do not see these as challenging reviews. Sidenote: Pan is checking reviews on ones reviewing his stuff.

I saw video about the 2 bucket method being a waste of time but believe you adjust process to match conditon rather than a fixed procces. I saw one giy foam and then washj willy nilly all over the vehicle. He never appeared to look his wash media. I usually have two buckets but I cheat. I am always examining my mitt and then decide whether to dip into the rinse bucket so in a maintenace wash it is not used often. It is mostly done when cleaning lower panels.

The only time I don't use the 2BM method is when I use the GD method for RW or when the car is dusty and I do a pre-wash foam/dwell/rinse wash. That said, when doing a 2BM wash, whether it's traditional or RW, I always use upgraded grit guards...ALWAYS! I'm shocked at how many YouTubers just happily go along with "not needing" a grit guard...ever
