What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I attempted to repair my Kranzel pressure washer. I have water in the oil so need to replace the water seals. They can dry out in 10 years and when I took it appear the seals were clearly not seating (stretched).

I ordered a seal kit and took it apart (not difficult) but disovered I ordered the wrong kit. I ordered a new klt. I also want to find a better way to flush out more of the milky residue. I have to admire all the machined brass.

Just be really careful with the brass, its easily scratched and can prevent the seal from seating properly, you would then be up for a new pump.

I know he's not everyone's cup of tea, just ignore him if not, but these videos with Josh from Kranzle USA are well worth watching.

Otherwise, Kranzle USA have their own channel for repairs/maintenance.

Finally decided to satisfy my Bilthammer curiosity. I ordered Touchless and Traceless. I also got a pump foamer. Part of the reason I hadn’t yet is that I use my power washer so rarely it didn’t seem worthwhile. However, if I can pump up and rinse off then it becomes a more reasonable option. Got traceless in my search for a glass cleaner that is better than GTechnic. The aerosol THOR isn’t great. Too messy and poor flash.

So the TAOS needed a cleaning...BADLY

Since it was so dirty and those annoying dirt water spots I reached for Labocosmetica Preludio acidic pre-treat, everything but the side glass got it and once again...WHAT A PRODUCT

Now for the actual RW I open a fresh bottle of P&S Absolute, worked flawlessly with Labocosmetica Preludio acidic pre-treat, the drying portion was TOO easy and the gloss left behind...STUNNING

The tires & wheels were cleaned with left over Absolute RW, simple pre-treat and swipe with designated grout sponge for this task left them looking like that, ADS Ghost here is only 9 days old but still

I took the grit guards out to show the solution and rinse buckets. The dirtier one is obviously the rinse bucket, the other one was used to clean the tires & wheels, that how it looked. I'm not sure where people stand on Absolute but it's such a great product, cleans well enough, although it did have help here today, leaves behind a glossy finish and dries VERY easily

I had a feeling you'd really like those Labo 3ph systems. I'm also eagerly awaiting the new ways you find to use them!

I'm becoming more and more impressed with ADS Ghost. I haven't been able to wash in over a month and the ADS Ghost was applied late in 2024. I'm not a high mileage driver and parked 98% off the time indoors but just yesterday I was looking at my tires wondering how they still look clean.

I think I saw your post on the THOR group. You're the first one to offer what I assume to be honest feedback. I'm very tired of the over abundance of love for all things THOR in any group you ever go into on Facebook.

Keep us updated on Traceless. A few times it has been in my cart but I don't really want to buy from OG - it nets out at as a $33 glass cleaner after shipping

Labocosmetica 3pH carwash system is a game changer in the truest sense of the word, it really needs to be tried to be appreciated

Took a poor quality video of my struggles with it…

Yeah, looks counterproductive really. I leave windows until nearly the last step and just haven't found an aerosol I like for windows or tires.

Thanks for the share

Jamie Pardee did suggest one short spray on the window and same on towel. Kinda interferes with the box and fill I’ve been using on windows for twenty years.

Cleaned up the truck over the weekend...

Products used:
303 Car Wash
Carpro IronX
Bleechwhite
303 Spray Wax

Probably more but I'm forgetting.

Quick wash and cleaning of the hubby's trail rig:

Still need to clean up his truck and the motorcycle for the season.
AND the trailer.

I like your F250.. White with the blackout was my 2nd choice after the race red on my 350

I see yours is a gas. Which motor do you have? I had a 7.3 in my 250, and it was a gas hog. The money i saved on fuel when I switched to diesel covered the extra on payments. 12.5 mpg on the gas to 21/22 on the diesel.

Your milage may vary, but I've really struggled with Traceless. Super streaky.

A new seal kit arrived and started to work on re-assembling it.

I watched youtube videos but all seem to cover a later model so not 100% clear. It did not help that the parts diagram provided with the kit did not match my unit exactly (part not show) and what is listed in my owner's manual. I had extra an extra locking ring (not in new kit) arts but after more research I believe I figured I needed to reuse it despite not showing in assembly drawing. I had to translate German to English to help associate the parts such as Zwischenring mit Abstützung,

I assembled it (involves lots of vasoline) and then powered it up but without water.

The goal today is to change the oil is milkly. I need to drain, fill, run, then drain again per the place I bought the original kit. This section can use standard oil (15W-40) unlike some other components.

I've never done THIS before...stopped a detail to tell the world about a product before my write up

Hand down, in my 13 years here on AG, THIS is the SLICKEST product I've ever used! As I was taking this Deyon-esque picture the towel was slowly sliding down...I N S A N E

I mean the gloss is there but not braggin' but my EN is about as glossy as it can get, can't wait to get outside after this...HOLY SH!T

Monthly intensive clean-up at The Bays Wheeling this morning, aka Car Therapy

Got to try a couple new products today (see earlier post!) as well as long time standbys, let's go

So I started out by doing the tires & wheels, Brake Buster in the IK Foamer, my favorite maintenance product for this...always performs, they keep making it, I'll keep buying it

Next it was pre-wash time and I had 32 oz of distilled water and 1 oz of Meg's Hyper Foam poured and ready to...then it happened, the top of the Foam cannon came off, hit the floor and I lost a big percentage of the solution, good thing I had ADS Decon soap with me

After the dwell and rinse it was time for the 2BM wash, already had Meg's Hyper Wash in there and ready to. I had 1.5 oz in there and let me tell you this, the suds were incredible, 1 oz would've been MORE THAN ENOUGH! I now see why it's so popular...PLUS THE PRICE! It rinsed so easily, great, great product, good job Meg's

After the hour in the wash bay it was time for 2 hrs in the detail area, time for another new product and I was so BLOWN AWAY with this product I stopped and told you guys about it...Feynlab Ceramic Spray Detailer

Now I think calling it a "detailer" is a disservice, it's so much more than that from what I've seen:

-small bottle 8.45 oz (250ml)

-great sprayer

-spray into mf towel, apply & wipe with 2nd towel

-great gloss!

-SLICKEST PRODUCT I'VE EVER USED...PERIOD

The direction say to prime the mf towel with a couple sprays then 1-2 after that for each section. While applying it you couldn't really even see it going on but when you wiped it off with the 2nd towel you could certainly FEEL IT, MY GOD

Moving along I applied CarPro Clarify Phobics to all glass, giving the ADS Glass coating a little boost and the ADS Ghost coated Michelins got a boost with ADS Tire+, Michelins are "finicky", if you know...you know

I finished up vacuuming out the interior, applied DIY Detail Clean and Protect to the Alcantera bits and steering wheel, Griot's Garage Leather spray treatment for all leather seat bits and finished off with Griot's Garage Stinky Be Gone Light Em Up interior scent...LOVE IT

All in all an incredible 3 hrs at The Bays Wheeling this morning...can't say the same about the ecu swap "just to see", it was still acting up so it's going back to N75 in Toronto, I'm out $1100

In closing I boosted the booster for the coating, the stack is strong with this one
