What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

If you use the Toyota configurator tool this is what it says about that trim element, "Anodized Blue"

I assumed they meant it was aluminum but you could be right

I will go investigate later and see what it is

View attachment 139013As far as the screens go, I am spoiled by them

Other than the huge map and navigation info almost everything you need while driving is repeated in the dash cluster via the steering wheel controls as well so you aren't looking at the screen that often

I love it for the admin stuff you can do while parked, settings, trip and mileage info, etc

I don't know, maybe I am compensating for something

I had a Lexus loaner while the car was in for that recall in May and it had the heads up display

I thought I would hate that but it was really kind of cool
I'm imagining that "anodised blue" when it's 10 years old with worn edges, maybe some silver showing through, is actually still going to look cool, but then I do like the old patina look on some things. Some of my folding knives are black anodised and where they are starting to wear the silver is showing through, and just like the look.

GM toyed around with the HUD's 20 years ago, maybe longer; I thought everyone had given up on that. At one time I thought everything was going to go that way, but apparently people couldn't get used to it (I guess). As far as the screens, it would seem from your description that Toyata does a better job than what I have experienced.

I know once the "new" wears off I will calm down a bit and not lose it over every scratch and ding

If this truck had been in the pipeline with the smaller screen I probably would have still committed to it

It wasn't a make or break item, but I am happy to have it

It added a bit under $800 to the package and I am sure plenty of folks wouldn't opt for it at that price but it was already specced so what the heck

I really didn't need or want a moon roof either (another $800) but they know if they tack it on there they will still sell it so why not

Money makers I guess

I really like the look of that interior, minus the computer screen and all the tech of course. Nice new little rig ya got there chillmister!

My Liquid8r is the 16 x 16, I didn't even realise it was a 2 pack when I bought it, so that's a bonus, but yeah, they are awesome, so absorbent, love the size too, so manageable.
Yeah that new one, the M22, is 20" x 20"...love it
