What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Finished up a really nice Volvo XC60 to be delivered this morning.

Did a thorough detail on my wife's car, which I have neglected for a couple of weeks. Did a complete interior detail, pressure washed the wheels and fender wells, took it in the shop and did a rinseless wash with Ech2o and Reload. Dried and did a wipe down with Reload. Looked brand new, probably will rain tomorrow

I swear my wife could pick up tar driving across a field of grass...

Washed the wife’s Beast using Dr. Beasley’s Premium Body Wash after first hitting the tar spots with Tarminator. Wheels and tires cleaned with same car shampoo listed above. CarPro Perl on the tires. I pulled the WeatherTech mats, scrubbed them and put WeatherTech Protectant on them. Beast was then parked in the garage overnight while my SS sat out in the rain.

BTW: look what I saw at Meijer Saturday night:

It was the Anti-Roger!

Can I make a macro that updates this thread every day with something like, “Watched 10-12 YouTube videos on detailing and paint correction”?

Did start to clean up the summer wheels. Surprised when I got to the front face of the rims and noticed that the Gyeon Wet Coat was still present. The barrels though is a wreck from the previous owners. Will see if I put the effort in to polishing them up. Depends on if my mini polisher is able to polish them without stalling. The inside of the spokes is like you had covered it with iron LOL. Have a very strong acid gel cleaner that was able to desolve little of it. But would need many times to get it completly off. And the little clearcoat that was on there is proberly not there any more LOL. It's a DD so I can live with it when it's not visual when they are on. Maybe try a polishing cone and see if it's makes any difference. The easiest would be to buy new rims.

Take a go at it tomorrow again.

Does wishing I could do something count? It's been raining for days.

Rinseless wash with N 914. Wheels were cleaned with Meguiars All Wheel and rinsed with the Worx Hydroshot. Topped my IGL Premier with IGL Enhancer after. Tires dressed with PERL 1•1.

For you folks who like beading pictures there's also a picture before the wash when I did a pre rinse. At that point Premier hadn't been topped with anything. That's a vertical panel FWIW.

Did some testing with polishing with the mini polisher on one of my rim today. And as I thought it was coming black oxidized aluminum on the pad. Only polishing the barrel and with a oem rough texture and the damage on it. It was hard to maintain pad rotation on the mini polisher. Maybe try with a polishing cone or ball for paint and see if it makes a difference and don't take to long of time. I was not getting to much of difference with claying and polishing. One more shoot at it before I give up and seal it in LOL.

Finally got around to correcting the paint of the Genesis and discovered this paint is very hard. It laughed at GG FCC on a white Griots pad, but 3D one on the white pad did wonders to the paint! After 20 mins of testing the pad, polisher, and product mix this paint came to life! I'll be sad when it leaves on June 9th.
