What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Washed a minivan. Worst waterspots I've seen in a long time. Owner said he didn't dry it back in June and his wellwater left those spots and been there ever since. Past side has been repainted and man did they do a crap job...massive run on above the pass front wheel on the fender edge. Lots of junk under the paint and clear. Marks all over where they sanded to much and went past the color into the black primer. Told the owner and he sounded pretty bummed.

Used some mckees road kill bug remover...stuff is legit, did a bang up job.

Mckees iron remover I'd like to throw away...4 vehicles and zero color change or bleeding

Gyeon tar...waste of money as well

Gyeon Bathe...damn good soap, lots of suds, lots of lubrication, nice cleaning

HDSpeed is nice but I'm not wowed and in love. Needs more cut, had to use d166 to get what I wanted done.

Fk1000p going on the wheels and 915 on the paint.

Here’s a close up of what the headlights on my new Caddy were looking like.

I sanded them with 500 grit.

Here they are after 3000 grit...

And after polishing, Bam I’ve got brand new headlights.

While I had the hood open I went ahead and cleaned things up a bit. The windshield cowl was dirty and faded.

I used the Mothers Heavy Duty Trim Cleaner on it.

Then it was ready for the Blackfire Total Trim & Tire Sealant.

Everything else including the rubber seals got Hyper Dressing. Overall things here are looking much better than before.

Snap a pic under the hood of that old car for a mechanic, Eldo!

Sure thing bud... Heck you’re pretty brave, most mechanics either dread or fear working on Cadillacs, and the rest of them flat out suck and usually wind up screwing the car up somehow... You must be 1 heck of a mechanic. Here ya go.

I thought the same thing about McKee's 37 iron remover. What I do with it is spray on wait a few minutes and use a wash Mitt to wash the panel and it seems to work better. Not the best iron remover but it gets the job done, at least for me. They have a new formula, I might try it when I run out. Or might go with iron x. That stuff is good.

Winter is coming! Almost ready.
Wash, Clay and Sealant done.
Have to wait 12 hours for sealant to cure before final Wax can be applied. May be tomorrow.
Dash board protected with 303. Dome light and trunk light changed to LED.

Just did a waterless wash with Blackfire. I’m really impressed with the Meguiar’s UFF that’s on the car. Not only it’s protective qualities but it really brings out the metallic flake. Needed a shadow to get a reflection. Lol

Finished this van. Its 5yrs old and starting to show that it lives outside and gets daily driven. Front end and side skirts are hammered but came out good as it can. Used D166...man that stuff doesn't come out well. Been soaking in mckees pad rejuvenator for a few hrs. Oh well I guess

That dts is a nice car! Just watch for that head gasket blowing on ya.
That's what happened to my 2001 DTS

Today did some winter prep on Ford Focus and Toyota Highlander, the usual CG Honeydew in Foam cannon, Gyeon Iron Remover, Meguiars Wheel Brightener, CarPro Hydro2 Lite, CG VRP - used CarPro inside for interiors, Meguiars APC and steamer.

View attachment 65182Hello,

I’m prepared to put my winter sealant on the boat before I put it in storage. Then I’m going to coat my Denali with Wolfgang. Prep starts Wednesday.
