What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Cleaned around all the trim and badges on my car today. All the doors were open and this little 1 managed to sneak in and catch a nap. Lol.

I kicked her out of the trunk. lol.
I came out later to find her in there again! This time she was trying to carve out a spot in the carpet. Geez with this cat. Lol.

It appears you have a "Catillac"

Washed my truck and hit it with wetcoat. Doesn't get driven much anymore, just sits in the driveway.

Heading out to finish up a hammered Model 3 that came to me yesterday. All polished up yesterday but now off to get coated with Cquartz UK v3.0

The real bummer is the customer had someone hit/run on him just a few weeks into getting the car and the required body shop from his insurance did a horrible job.

She cleaned up nice and a one step using Sonax Perfect Finish on my Rupes Mille with Yellow pads

Worked with a helper for the first time today detailing.

My friend has been hurting for money and I had two int/ext packages to do. Would have taken me most of the day by myself.

It went really well. I pretty much cut my time in half.

I scrubbed the Weathertecs to let him get ahead of me while he vacuumed. Then did the interior wipe down. Had him do the jams as he waited for me to finish up. Him back on the vacuum for the final touch up while I did a quick engine detail. Then he washed and clayed the paint while I was doing the wheels. He did tire dressing while I did some final touch ups on the outside.

Only took 4 pics though.

Detailed a friend's car today. Started a little after 10 AM.

- Wash
- Clay
- Polish
- Vacuum
- Dashboard with 303
- Windows
- Inside door panels
- Tires and Trim

Didn’t have time to clean the engine compartment. Wanted to shine the wheels too but friend said he needed to leave at 2 PM.
C'mon man, these things take time, you can't rush beauty. Sheesh.

Finally got to wash the ZR2 and inspect it and some kind of protection on. Went with hydro blue since it`s quick. Got rid of most of the dealer tire slime. Had some tonno cover protectant in old stock and used it. Tires got #253. Overall the paint was in good shape. A few chips on the passenger door handle that I will address along with the noted taillight paint blob and hood scoop paint area to the dealer. Passenger taillight had some condensation in it that seemed to clear up, but that`s on the list too. Time to place a order to WEATHERTECH for mud flaps, ventvisors and a bug shield.

Washed the wifes at the coinop. Going to clay it later this evening and throw some UFF on until I have time to start polishing so I can put synchro on it

Didn't get it clayed but put UFF on so there is some sort of protection until I have time over Thanksgiving to give it some love

Did a quick application of some Sonax High Speed spray wax to top the UFF I have on there to prepare for winter. I love this stuff. Somehow I was able to apply it fairly easily even though it was around 40 degrees. The new sealants are amazing, but I still like having some carnauba on there for that extra pop and slickness. Sorry for more pictures of my car. Lol

Thanks, there is a lot of our work already on this forum in the Show-n-shine section. Typically we format the title LSN Autodetail - <year and car name>.

Haven’t had a lot of posts this year as we’ve scaled back.

Should be interesting. We’ll see!

The 2002 Cadillac DTS didn’t come with emblems on the rear quarter panels...

Nice touch for the Caddy. Car looks great. I always loved those DeVilles but was scared of the Northstar. Lol If I had the extra cash I'd buy one and swap in an L32.

Finally had time to finish up the Ford I started Fri after noon, swept up 3 and a half 5 gallon buckets of dirt from under it

Thanks.
If I had the extra cash I’d have the head bolts re studded. Based on everybody’s word once that’s done the Northstar becomes legit bulletproof. Call me crazy but I think it would be worth it. I’ve given it strong consideration but of course hope it doesn’t have to happen.. These engines run pretty damn awesome but yea those forbidden thoughts are always in the back of my mind. Lol.

I’ve owned my 97’ SLS for 5yrs. now and I never thought it would last this long. The Northstars they put in the 97’ Caddys are supposed to be the most susceptible for the head gaskets of all the years but that car has been a freakin champ! It’s crazy. Lol.

Well I hope they continue strong for you. I know the new ones are superior in every way and I love the V cars, but I’d still take a pre Art & Science Caddy any day. (But nothing from the 80s) Lol

My 2nd car was a 1988 Eldorado. Without a doubt the worst gen. Eldorado of all time. Possibly 1 of the top 5 worst Cadillacs ever. I can’t believe I paid over 5 grand for that car back in the year 2000.
