What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Warm enough to do a wash and I had a itch to try some of my new to me products. Been doing the interior with McKess interior detailer till I can do a full interior come spring. Did do a engine detail today. Sonax engine cleaner followed with Sonus motor kote. The new to me...

Pinnacle glass cleaner with rain repel. Nice product. Did all exterior glass with it. No streaks or smears. Will see how strong the repel side of it is.

McKess headlamp protectant spray. Hit the lamps with it. Used a MF. No issues or drama. Left them looking great.

Ultima screen protectant. Got this for the touch screen. Nice MF included. This product really shined. Left the screen very clean and smudge free.

Griots aerosol satin shine. Interesting tire shine product. It does indeed have a nice sprayer. And the product did not run or streak. Appeared to dry after some time. Sling? Don`t know yet. Finish is nice looking. Great alt. for off road tires. This product was given to me to try out by fly07sti. Thanks again.
I recently tried the Griots satin shine too. Currently have my winter tires on and the more aggressive tread is annoying to try and get my normal Perl on. That and being winter time and cold it quickened the process quite a bit.

Interior nastiness yesterday afternoon and finished up this a.m.,I think the previous owner was a cook at a Chicken &Fish joint

When I put the hot water to the interior you could smell the vat of cooking oil smell,I turned a little green

Sorry about the pics,I clumped the before and after ttogether because I am in a bit of a hurry

edit:,,I didn't list products used because they aren't sold here but it was an assortment of Multi purpose cleaners, degreasers and foaming carpet cleaners and a lot of hot water.

I also used gun cleaning brushes and plastic razor blades to get the gunk of the wheel along with a ton of MF towels

FNW time!

Tonight's recipe involved a pre-wash using .5 ounces of Bilt Hamber in the IK Foam 9, first time using this soap as a pre-wash. I'm happy to say it did a nice job, a little more runny than other products but still got the job done. Next up was the 2BM and for this I reached for CarPro Hydrofoam, its been a while. This is a product that foams up initially but goes down after a while, so I had to reactivate it when it came time to use. Once I rinsed it down I decided to add the CarPro Hydrofoam into the IK Foam 9 and apply a 2nd layer down, a post-wash if you will. I let it dwell for about 10 minutes and rinsed....BAM!, CRAZY BEADING!!

I dried the car with my favorite duo of The Sucker/Griot's waffle weave and once done the gloss was awesome, can't believe I've slept on this for this long....NO MORE

Normal weekend waterless wash with Blackfire but I also did a coat of Meguiar’s Ultimate liquid wax. Haven’t used it in a couple of years, still a great product in my opinion.

Rinseless washed my wife’s car and did the first application of Bead Maker. We’ll see tomorrow if it’s glossy like they say. Definitely feels slick after a few hours in the garage.

IMO Ech2o is better for RW duties, more lubricity plus you can see it, LOL. When I have used N914 as a RW I've added double the amount for the Placebo effect, LOL. On the flipside though, LOVE N914 for WW duties, Ech2o can be a bit tricky to get the ratio right when using IT as a WW, I've found 5:1 to be about right

Sorry, I clicked the stupid dislike button by mistake. I’ll try to get pictures when it leaves the garage tomorrow.
No problem, I've done it before, I'm sure we all have. Just wanted to see what she drives, that's all

I purchased the Tufshine Tire Coating kit a few months ago but was never able to use it due to the temperatures. It needs to be at least 50 F in order for the coating to work properly. It was 52 F today and the Buick got the full exterior treatment with foam, 2 bucket wash and Tufshine Tire Coating. Each tire coating manufacturer insists that you use their specific cleaner with their specific coating. I noticed that the Tufshine cleaner was effective but not that much different than Megs D143 or Bleche White. I really liked the Tufshine tire brush. It is the perfect size and it applies the right amount of leverage to the tire. After three cleanings, the tires were finally clean. I expected the coating to be a thicker, clear type gel but to my surprise it was a thin, white liquid that spread very easily with the provided sponge. I like a high shine on my tires so I applied three coats. There is some rain in the forecast this week and I will have to see how the coating holds up.

Funny how they were so popular back in the day. Now, I rarely if ever see them on the road. It's like they vanished! Good luck with that one!

Yea it’s kind of rare to see 1 driving on the streets these days. Their resale value is remarkably strong till this day. This particular H2 is among the best equipped Hummer I’ve ever seen, it’s got a great factory paint color, the leather feels premium compared to most other vehicles, it’s black, and unlike previous years [which are alot more common] the interior on this late model looks like it means business. I especially like how this doesn’t have those obnoxious toy looking round AC vents that previous years had. IMO this interior looks legit.

Doug Demuro says this is the most embarrassing vehicle anyone could ever drive? What a moron, this thing is sweet. It’s like a tank on wheels.

I think this is the best looking SUV ever made. Everything else is like a mini van compared to this.
