What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I repurposed a couple of squeeze bottles and filled them with car shampoo. I found a bottle of Gold Class tucked away in the corner of my cabinet with just enough left to fill this little 12oz. bottle. It’ll be nice to use it for the 1st time in a very long time.

The scent of Gold Class shampoo brought back good memories.

So how old we talking? 1995 or 96?

After the lovely wife made me a great breakfast and a cup of motivation I pulled the SS out of and put the Beast in the middle of the garage for it’s spa treatment. It was filthy to say the least after a few weeks of school and expressway work commuting.

I foamed the whole vehicle with Optimum Car Wash as her SUV is coming up on the end of two years of Optimum Gloss Coat. Wheels were cleaned with Optimum Car Wash, brushes and MF wash pad. Spritzed them with CarPro Hydro then rinsed the Beast and re-foamed it. I used ten wash pads in the bucket. After rinsing I noticed the beading is still strong so it was dried and pulled out for photos and garage floor squeegeeing.

After I was done I pulled her driver’s side WeatherTech mat for her. She scrubbed it clean then replaced it in the Beast.
The other three mats were meh so they can stay in for now. When spring comes we’ll detail the interior together, it needs it!

The roof still beads well and is the original Gloss Coat, no toppers ever. The rest of the paint has had toppers like CarPro Hydro and McKee’s Hydro over the past two years.

I got tired of pumping. Car wash just got a lot more fun for me.

That's a great idea but the foam is pretty thin, what's in the bottle? I'm wondering if hand pumping creates more initial psi but there's something to be said for NOT pumping up all the time, which you have to do when using the IK 1.5 for that use, that's where the IK Foam 9 comes into play!

Ended up getting up to 50 today so cleaned up the RS and the husband's ride:

Ended up soaking them with ONR sprayed on, then rinsing with large amounts of ONR and water. No hose this time of year so only buckets were used.

Also topped off with Klasse Act's "FrankenDetail 2.0"....
Roger, you need to market this stuff :dblthumb2:

Foam was too dry, I think. I have to play with the mixture ratio or use a different filter. The soap I use was 3D Pink Car Soap.

Monica, I sent you that so long ago that I don't remember which version it is, LOL. If its pink it's probably WGU and KSG, the "Klasse"ic ratio I'm glad you like it, did you apply it wet or dry?

Which color tip do you have installed in there?

It’s blue!
I used it wet, which was even more convenient.

Ohhhh blue, that's Turtle Wax rinseless wash, super rare especially since it's been discontinued for many years now. That said, I have a couple more bottles of it, so when you get low, let me know, I can make up some more or a current batch, just ask Monica, you know that

I know Duragloss, TW and WGU all played nice when mixing up my FrankenDetailer. IMO the key here is the use of KSG, I miss using it but not sure how KSG would work on a coated car...anyone have a thought on this, I mean it's my scree name sake for God's sake, LOL

Ok, I have to ask.........

What model of snow blower is that? :)

Thought so. Looks like an XP.

Sweet machine!

You are correct!

(Quick thread hack)

Husband got rid of the cable activated joystick and replaced with an electric thumb joystick:

The grips are heated too!
