What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

You are correct!

(Quick thread hack)

Husband got rid of the cable activated joystick and replaced with an electric thumb joystick:

The grips are heated too!

Love the Track Drives!

Yeah, I can't even use my heated grips most times. Those things get hot!

The tank treads were a must with our driveway... wheels would slip on the slope.

And not enough snow here... couple inches melted quick.

Vacuumed the interior of the wifes. Used Gyeon leather cleaner and cleaned the seats and doors, pretty gross. Hit everything with some onr to wipe the dust off. Once dry I used 303 interior protectant and used the 303 Gummi fledger on the seals all around the doors. Gyeon leather coat on the seats, doors, steering wheel and shift knob. Meg’s d120 on all interior glass and screens. Looks waaaaaaay better.

If it doesn’t snow tomorrow then it’s getting a rinseless tomorrow night.

Ordered some sprayers and a product recommended by auto fanatic to remove salt without the need of a pressure washer. Hopefully it works well.

I believe they’re talking about Star Brite’s Salt Off. He just uploaded a video about it.

So it rained today and the freshly washed car was down the drain...no problem, WW tonight with dpc Revive. I've used it as a RW already and was VERY happy with it, so today was the day to try it as WW, already pre-mixed. I poured it in my Blackfire hand pump sprayer and got after it. Here's where having a fresh LSP comes into play, just topped off with Griot's Garage Poly Gloss over the weekend so needless to say when I sprayed Revive the beading was crazy. I used the usual 5 towels for this wash, the yellow "Jacks", love em'.

Before I did the WW I cleaned the wells, tires and wheels with Alien Kleen. Yeah, yeah, yeah...I have the awesome new Auto-Fanatic foaming wheel cleaner but I wanna use that when the wheels are actually dirty, here I sprayed Alien Kleen in the wells, on the tires and onto and into the barrels. I then grabbed my wheel cleaning bucket that had left over carwash soap from the weekend and got to scrubbing with the Speed Master wheel brush for the rims and the Mother's wheel and tire brush for the tires. They came out great and once I dried the tires and wheels it looked great, maybe I'll take a pic of the tires, still NO browning to be found!

Time to go to bed.....Zzzzzz

Rinseless washed the wifes Armada. Ech2o was used at 1 oz a gallon for 3 gallons. Filled my pump sprayer with the mixture. Presoaked all panels and got after it. Think I used 16-18 towels and 4 pfm to dry. Then hit everything with elixir(ech2o, reload, HydrO2) all at 2oz with 26 oz of h2o. Car looks great and is supa slickery. Wife was heckling me to hurry the f up so didn’t get to wipe the wheels and tires down. But the McKees sio2 tire shine is doing great at 2.5 weeks with no washes.

Also booked an explorer for interior. Not gonna make a lot but no really worried. Buddy bought his daughter it for her 16th so ima make it pretty on the inside. Ima do the outside as my gift to her. Should look a lot better when it’s done.

Strip washed the 19 Acura RDX > Iron X > Nanoskin Sponge > Collinite 845.

Restored the lower trim a little and also hit the wheels with McKees Foaming Wheel Cleaner. Good stuff. A little dressing to top it off.

Sprayed under carriage with Salt Away. Cleaned off all the salt and left a protectant coat.

After 5 straight days of rain. Gave the car a wash with Meguiars Gold Class.

Used Ammo frothe with my IK sprayer. Stuffs awesome. Will be replacing Ech20 and 914 as my waterless. Like wiping cream into your car, just such a nice feel. Only negative was used 1 oz to 20 and used most to clean the convertible. Would use all on a full size. That being said if you thought about trying it, do it. You’ll like it

As a waterless, yessir. Will still use 914 as my rinseless, Ech20 for drying aid. I feel the ammo did a better job of encapsulating the dirt. Towel glided smoother. Car was the dirtiest Ita ever been for a waterless and just worked awesome.
