exactly what i was thinking. of course that adds quite a bit of work to the project. I also agree about using a stiff brush & vacuuming as you brush. just be careful these carpets are nothing like the carpets of the 60's & 70's. nowadays their more like cardboard with peach fuzz on them. good luck & get cracking.

Finished up my Son's Jeep. CMX on the paint, GYEON Q2 Trim on the black bits and McKee's Glass on the windshield. I'll update the exterior thread with more pics Sunday if the weather is good. Putting another coat of CMX on in the morning.

I feel for you man. LOL We had one of those today. A 2007 Nissan Xterra. The guy was 28 and his parents had purchased for him as a high school graduation present. He stated it had never been cleaned and I believe him. Now, he's expecting his first kid in a few weeks and his wife flat out told him "get that thing cleaned, we're not putting a baby in that biohazard." We got there and I immediately told him that with 10+ year old vehicles, we will adjust the price accordingly based on the amount of work involved needed to get it clean to my standards of clean. He agreed. Not too bad actually, it looked a lot like that but it cleaned up pretty nicely. I gave him what I felt was a fair price, but he must have not felt it was fair because he gave us a $75 tip. LOL

I will say this, I'm not sure how I ever did this job without a professional continuous refill steamer. If they weren't such power pigs, I'd seriously think about buying a second.
 
I’ve got a small handheld steamer, just picked up a bissel proheat on sale at Menard and got the rebate so was a no brainer. Also grabbed 2 space heaters. It was 35* in the garage so I’ve got em on high for the last hour so we will see what it’s like in the morning and I’ll go try and get it knocked out.

Really want to do the exterior but if Mother Nature doesn’t play nice then it might not happen. We will just have to play it by ear.

Yesterday sucked and the car kicked my ass. Emptied car of seats and 2 small plastic bins and the center consol. Dry brushed with a stiff mother’s brush and vacuumed and nothing happened. Barely loosened the crud. So I sprayed with d101 lightly and let dwell then scrubbed. Nothing changed. So grabbed steamer. Helped a very small amount. Tried a small shampooer and that was a waste of time. Well at this point pulling carpet is easy so I pulled it and hoses with apc and scrubbed more with the brush then hit with the pressure washer. It helped a small amount. This carpet is just bad at this point but it looks cleaner. I think anyways. Still waiting for it to dry so can’t reassemble yet.

I tell the rookies in the game. Never give customers pricing over the phone lol. How can you quote something you haven't seen. This is the type of customer that will set you up lol for failure. Lol

I would have to inform that owner that they are a pig and to move on down the road. I would seriously not even attempt it as no one needs money that badly. Pull the carpet out toss it.

I can't turn down money. I may not need it but don't mind getting more of it. So Mr/Ms customer person I'm going to need you to open up your wallet maybe even go to your local bank and apply for a loan. Besides if I turned it down how would I be able to get eldor the my Little pony playset he be telling every on this forum he wanted!!! Boom! Burn.
