What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

That concerns me as I picked up some of that M37 10 minute Sealant hoping it’d be an Opti-Seal-like product from McKee’s.

Didn’t care for it either. Didn’t make 6 weeks for me

The pollen will be flying soon, and it's supposed to rain through Monday. However,I went ahead and did a rinseless with DG,followed by a coat of BFWD on the top surfaces. Put BF Crystal Seal on the passenger side panels, and some Stoner's Speed Bead detailer on the driver's side. Just playing around.. Cleaned the tires with Mother's Back to Black tire renew. I didn't dress the tires. I have been using 303 tire balm, but I experienced some kind of weird browning on two different vehicles. Both were cleaned with the Mother's and had the tire balm applied to them.

I wiped down the interior with Ech2o diluted as a waterless wash.,and I also used that to presoak the side panels.

Thank goodness for Spring. I love Spring and Summer. It has been a RAINY Fall and Winter!

First time detailing a Hellcat. Will try to make a thread in show and shine later this weekend.

I will be doing another car with m37 paint sealant. I failed to mention that it was exposed to rain immediately upon completion. How ever the Elixir was also exposed to rain and is performing fine. I will do another car same process and procedure and see if it just needs some time to properly cure and then we will find out actual longevity updates

Finished up my bottle of Griot's Garage leather care spray on my seats and steering wheel, ended up doing it 3x's to finish off what was in the bottle. The car will probably sit till Monday so plenty of time for it to soak in real good. I also have Tri-Nova conditioner/restorer and a mix of "stuff" in my 16 oz Griot's Garage bottle too, plenty of stuff to use up before I end up with the Gyeon leather coat

What are your thoughts on PA Master Final Polish?

Looks like a great bunch of products to work with.

Are you going to do the sandwich with Zipang Miyabi Zipang?

/ Tony

Yes I tried doing the sandwich but ran a little short with the Zipang.

As for the PA I really do like working with them, and wish I had gotten the compound also.

Here is a picture I just took when I backed it out of the Garage to give more room to clean and coat my summer wheels.

Why do Dodge owners love to leave on the the yellow plastic shipping covers? I see it all the time, they’re only meant for transport and then removed at the dealer.

Yeah, even the V6, off-road package ones are trying to fit in doing this too

Finally had some time with my wife’s new Tiguan. Washed with Blackfire waterless, did some remaining adhesive removal with HD Speed by hand and then sealed with Ultimate Fast Finish.

I didn’t touch the wheels because my Ultimate Waterless Wheel/Tire cleaner was supposed to come but delivery was late today.

Cuz they're dumb? Really I don't know though I swear I see like 75% of them with those stupid things on. They sell for like $50 bucks on Ebay lol.

If this customer is dumb, I want to be as dumb as he is. He owns multiple buildings In SF and is quite wealthy and yet he is a super down to earth and humble dude.

Today I did the neighbor’s Jeep Rubicon using Optimum Car Wash. I started by foaming the Jeep, letting it dwell as I cleaned the wheels and tires. I used McKee’s Tire & Rubber Rejuvenator on the tires and Adam’s Wheel Cleaner on the wheels. Wheels got a coating of CarPro Hydro. Rinsed the Jeep then washed it using many MF pads in a bucket. Rinsed it then clayed it using Mother’s yellow clay. Did another quick rinse then coated it with Dr. Beasley’s Formula 1201 Paint Coating. The paint is in excellent condition as he never goes through the scratch tube and has learned well from me on proper wash techniques. The roof got CarPro Hydro. Inside glass was wiped down with Stoner’s. Tires got a coating of McKee’s SiO2 Tire Shine then out in the sun for some pics.

Nice work, Paul!

Does he know his spare fell off?

He took it off so I’d have an easier time cleaning the spare wheel holder and the paint behind it. Looking out the window I see it’s back on with the spare wheel cover on it too.

Yeah, the wife has a Wrangler. I know all about the spare removal. Lol

So I am not sure if this would count under “What did you do regarding detailing?” It seemed closest since I think the Show And Shine is only cars you have done.

Went to a local car show and took these shots - enjoy. Frankly I was a bit disappointed on most of the paint jobs - many had swirls and several needed a good #7 infusion.
