What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Most "$how" cars are garbage that I see

Lol. I agree.

It's so strange that most of these show car owners are into EVERY single nut & bolt from top to bottom, but when it comes down to the appearance of the paint, they are clueless.

All along their crying kid doll is doing its thing, fuzzy dice swinging in the wind, fake food on the tray attached to the window, model of their car ontop of their chrome air cleaner are all distracting everyone (mostly everyone) from how sheety their paint truely is and there's no excuse for it, surely they watch "My Classic Car" where the AutoGeek garage is a sponsor

Exactly!!

...and don't forget "Corvette guy"! He's kinda like "Ferrari guy" in where he's sporting the jacket, shirt and hat but where he crushes "Ferrari guy" is his customized lawn chair that's usually the same color as his car and says CORVETTE on it! Then there's the car itself, Greenwood or Mid America catalog in full effect, chrome trim....sorry, billet trim around the side light and tailights, custom floor mats, chrome....urrr, billet caps on EVERYTHING under the hood and ofcoarse, the most passionate "Corvette guy" will have an eagle and/or American flag airbrushed under the hood. All that "tasteful" modification could've went into a paint detail but these guys take care of their cars too, the burgundy bottle of Meg's QD, an old dirty mf towel and Eagle 1 tire wet is always close by. Sometimes the more discriminating "enthusist" will dress the treads too, maybe even bust out some Windex for the paint, listen to THOSE guys especially because they're the first to tell YOU that they've been doing this since you were in diapers

Tried to clean the interior of the work truck since it hasn’t had since October. Got it emptied out and vacuumed up on the pass rear seat and floor area and wife says ok we r leaving. So pack it all up and move it out the way. Go to start personal truck. Click click click. Super. Now charging batteries while I sit inside with a napping toddler. Beyond crappy day so far, just wanted some therapy but NOOOOO!

Cleaned up my 19 year old today and got my first taste of beadmaker. I think I like it, will I order again? Maybe. Anyways today was hyperwash in the cannon, Meg's citrus wash and wax for the 2 bucket followed by beadmaker, wb for rims, blacksine on the tires, and hyper dessing on the trim

Detailed my brothers Mustang today. Blackfire waterless wash, Meguiars smooth surface clay bar, Meguiars red pad with HD Speed and some Beadmaker to top it off. He was thinking of replacing the stripes but I gave it a shot with some HD Speed on a yellow Meguiars pad at a low speed and they came out great for being almost 4 years old.

I ran out of Ultimate Fast Finish so I’ll top it next week for him.

Hi folks, just popping in to say hello. I haven't really been here for a year or so, due to my Mom passing away, me breaking my wrist, and having traded in my GTI for a boring Jetta (that I frankly haven't much enthusiasm to detail). But we're recovering from the family loss, my wrist is on the mend, and the big news is that I have ordered a ruby red 2019 Mustang GT convertible. I am excited (to say the least,) to detail it when it arrives later this year.

I've been looking at all the new products that have come out in the last year, and WOW - there's lot's to catch up on - Sio2, hybrid waxes, etc.

Anyway, hope you all are doing great!
