So the Griot's machine caused the damage?

I'm not getting your point.....

Eldo.. OT, but how old is your cat?

also, any word from metro vac on your sidekick?

She’ll be 5yrs. old in September. Thanks for asking. This is her the 1st day I met her. Lol.

I haven’t gotten around to calling Metro. I have been thinking about it though..

I brought up Travis Barker because since our buddy Eldo is from SoCal and Blink is also from SoCal he'd know Travis Barker is a HUGE Cadillac guy. I mean when your into a niche' brand like that you usually know about celebs who are into a certain type of car. My problem is I assume everyone is a huge car guy like myself, sorry about that. Btw he's got Caddy tats too!

All people from “So Cal” aren’t the same. Lol. As a matter of fact, I don’t even like the term “So Cal”, it makes us sound kinda douchy. Lol. I say California or better yet Los Angeles.

I’ve never heard of the guy.

There’s 3 types of Cadillac people.
1. The purists, who prefer the cars to be as original/stock as possible.
2. The custom Cadillac people, who transform the cars into nice but nearly unrecognizable show cars.
3. The new millennial Cadillac people.

We’re pretty much polar opposites. I can sort of dig what the custom people do and are into, but not really... Because in their heart they’re not really Cadillac people or they wouldn’t have molested the classic car in such a drastic way to begin with.

The millennial Cadillac people... Now those people might as well be from a whole nother planet. I consider them to have nothing in common with the purists like myself. They drive XT4’s and would actually argue for the Escalade as being among the greatest Cadillacs of all time, whereas I would never get behind the wheel of 1 if you paid me.

So no, all of us aren’t “So Cal”, same way all Cadillac people aren’t quite cut from the same cloth anymore. But we’re still cool with each other.

that's pretty cool she trusts you that much and the fact she can go outside and not run off. there are numerous cats (around 4) that come into are backyard daily and drink out of our pool LOL...

They drink pool water? Lol.

My cat won’t even drink hose water anymore. That’s when I checked it out and found it had mold on the inside lining. Smart cat. Now she gets her outside water bowl filled from the kitchen sink but still prefers to drink from her glass inside the house filled with the same bottled water we drink.

sorry, there was a delay in hitting the like and hit dislike by accident... :(

Let me try this another way, a popular band from your country (yes, that state is another country) and one of its members is a big Cadillac fan and has CADILLAC tattooed down his side and he survived a plane crash and you've never heard of him

It's cool your such a purist and all but be happy someone choses a Caddy to be customized, it might have been heading to the scrapyard but saved, or maybe just sitting in someone's driveway doing nothing, etc. Corvette people have this hang up about "all original" too, the old ones and that's just boring IMO.

I remember seeing an Caddy ETC from the 80's for sale years ago back home in the D. It had Olds Bravada wheels on it, made me look at it a bit more, then I popped the hood....Olds 4 5 5! That's the way to do it AND still keep it in the family, it was a really nice car too

yeah, it's strange. i'll be watching TV and then all of a sudden i look to the right through the window and there they are sipping away. they must tell each other because one comes right after the other LOL...

Not a fan of blinks music but Travis seems like a cool dude. Eld you should check out his collection guys made it has a ton of custom and stock old joints. When he first got big got a 2002 Seville and el dog. Still has and rolls then.

He’s got ones from 50’s 60’s 70,s his 2002’s and yes a couple of Escalades. He just loves caddy’s period

Griot's makes some nice machines but there's still no comparison to a Rupes. Just my opinion.
I have a GG6 & GG3 and have had them for 8 yrs w/o an issue and I don't seem to see threads or posts about them going bad and/or issues like I do with Rupes. I got to try one years ago, don't remember the model but the machine is very smooth without a doubt but the fact of the matter is these machines always seem to have issues...and are very expenive as well

I've never had a problem with any of my rupe polishers but I will say it comes down to the operator and how they upkeep their polishers.

FWIW I've never done any maintenance to my Griot's machines Because of this exchange, I'm going down to the Garage and taking out a mark from my p/s fender!
