What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

That's exactly what I thought.

Wasn’t it you who said the cat owned me, not the other way around?
I think you’re right. Lol.
But hey, that cat’s like a little person to me. She’s family.

NOTHING!

Weather keeps showing rain so I've been holding off cleaning up my poor car but it ends up NOT raining every day!

It was. I really get it man. Our dog rescued and owns me too. Anybody that loves animals has to be good people in my book. Your cat is lucky, as is MY dog!! Ha

After 4 days of rain, the car is in need of a cleaning, seriously! I haven't looked forward to a carwash more in I don't know when. I haven't quite decided what I'm going to use for pre-wash and 2BM but I know this, when I'm done and the car is still wet I'm going to apply Meguiars HCW diluted down to 8:1 and use it that way, just spray on, hose off, we'll see how THIS works, stay "tuned":coolgleam:

FWIW, thoughts and review should happen in about 3 hours!

Working on removing some DIYer's rattle can paint job. The amount of paint was light but the overspray is horrible.

After a horrible week of weather the FNW was REALLY needed!

I started with the tires, wheels and wells. The tires were brown and it's something I've experienced once before when using 303 Tire Balm but it was during the winter, on my old car and its winter tire set-up, gotta figure that out for sure. I started with Alien Kleen sprayed in the wheelwells and let it dwell, moved onto the tires and wheels. The rims got hit with CG's Sticky Citrus and let dwell but for the tires I used Super Clean aerosol, hadn't used it in quite some time and my God does that stuff work great! Once sprayed it began to break down the brown (I'm a poet and didn't know it, LOL) but when I scrubbed the tires with the short brissel brush the brown really came out. The rims got their usual scrubbing with the Speed Master and I then rinsed everything clean, time to move to the next step.

For the pre-wash I decided on AutoBrite Magifoam in my IK Foam 9, really love this stuff, it's from jolly ol' England I ended up using half of the 1.3 gallon solution and rinsed down with the Worx Hydroshot and now it was time for the 2BM.

At this point I decided to use the Mothers Triple Wash, 1.5 ounces was more than enough for great suds and I got after it. I'm not sure if people know about this product but if not, they NEED to! A little goes a long way AND it's very cost effective as well, a win win. I did try it once in my IK Foam 9 but I used 2 ounces in it and it clogged it up, its THAT concentrated!

Now here's where I changed it up a bit. I read somewhere about taking Meguiars HCW and diluting it 7:1, so I did that times 2, so 16 ounces. I will tell you I used the entire bottle on the car, did the rims and glass too. I did this because it doesn't end up costing alot to do this, call it wasting the product but its C H E A POnce I began to rinse the product off of the car I could clearly see the beading immediately, so it works and I might tweak the next ratio down to 5:1 to see what happens, stay "tuned".

I dried the car with The Sucker, dried the jams, tires & wheels and under and around the hood and trunk areas. Now the car is cleaned and ready for its 1st road trip to the westside of Michigan for my Grandson's 1st birthday, really looking forward to it. I'm also looking forward to the drive in the new car and seeing the mileage I get (yes, I'm a geek that way) I've also got the first bigger cars and coffee to go to on Sunday, so I'll need to see how the car looks after the road trip tomorrow but I'll probably do a N914 WW anyways, LOL!

Enjoy the pics and thanks for reading and looking

Gave the new ride a quick vacuum. Really the interior isn’t horrible but it will take time as it’s big. But got it all vacuumed up and installed the weathertech mats front I back. 2nd and 3rd row is one piece and man will it be a pita to remove and wash. Got the cargo area covered as well. Then installed a bug/stone deflector so I can help lessen the front end paint damage to the hood. They said to put the bumper dots on the pint but I put em on the back of the guard so we shall see how long they last. I would like to debate this and vinyl wrap all the chrome crap to black and just have it all black and sinister.

Really wanted white so I could do all black accents and have the storm trooper look but oh well. Darth Vader/Batman it will beView attachment 66493

Finished up polishing and coating this beautiful Jeep. Customer just wanted a basic freshen up but with near zero marring it polished out to perfection with ease. I also worked on removing two areas of paint transfer from where his wife rubbed the garage door opening and also where she tapped a parking bollard. There were also a handful of deeper scratches that I was able to easily level with some wet sanding. The paint overall is excellent and measured in a nearly 7.5-8 mils everywhere. Hopefully I'll get some good pics later today should mother nature not continue dumping rain on us. In the mean time the coating is curing inside.

Did you get the WeatherTech cleaner & protectant for those new liners

Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Nope. 100% stock. Has some kind of air suspension though. I really don't know much about it though.
Maybe the bags air down when parked so they last longer as to not hold up the weight

They have an exit height you can set that lowers it a little than normal ride height

Rinseless washed my ' 64 C10 with McKee's Rinseless wash and Wax. Awesome product!

Rinseless washed my wife's G8 with DG rinseless, and then applied BFWD. CarPro Perl on tires, and the interior plastics. Did the seats with Mother's VLR. VLR is a killer product for the money,
