What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Thanks, Rog. :)
No problem, I didn't see the question right away but someone quoted you 2ith my name in it, LOL. Ech2o has so many uses and I don't wanna discourage anyone from using it as a WW, excels in both areas, really an incredible product that I hope people haven't slept on across the board, surely not at this point in the game

I’m set to try that tomorrow morning for the 1st time.

It’s good stuff, and it smells fantastic. It’s a hard choice between that and hyper wash. If I had to choose it would really just come down to scent at this point

I haven’t even thought about opening it up to smell it yet.lol.

I really wish hyper wash smelled like gold class car wash. That stuff smells so freaking good. I wish it didn’t have the gloss enhancers, cause I’d keep buying it if it didn’t just because of the smell

As far as Ech2o, I personally add 3oz. of Ech2o + 3oz. of Reload and fill the rest of a 32oz. bottle with distilled water. It’s always works great like that for me. I’ve never tried it as a rinseless, but then again I’m not really a rinseless guy..

An extra wipe or buff is no big deal in my thinking.

Any time spent on my truck is cathartic now that it is (finally) enjoyable to be outside.

That’s nothing. Have you ever smelled D111 Shampoo Plus? It’s the Best!

I haven’t, actually. Is that your go to? If it is, do you find it clogs up LSPs?

I wish it didn’t have conditioners... I’m the same way. Or else it would be my go to soap hands down. I like everything about it... But it has those conditioners which weren’t necessarily a dealbreaker 10yrs. ago, but the way things are today it can sort of get in the way enough to bug you, if you know what I mean.

If I could get the guys on the Megs Hotline to give me the ok to use it as body wash I would.lol.

Yeah I completely get that. Little stuff like that was what led me to eventually find my way to autogeekonline.

Around 2008 I spent a lot of time on meguiars online when it was more active. But back then I didn’t even know about clogging a LSP, lol.

When I started to get back into it, I just stuck with gold class car wash, and was using m21 from years and years before. Gold class -always- made it look dead and flat, it’s impressive really. It’s a shame they put that stuff in them, because I don’t really see the appeal?

I’ve never really used a car wash with gloss enhancers that wowed me, but I guess it’s possible ones out there lol

I have worked in the mechanical industry most of my life.

Smelling gasoline, diesel, transmission/brake fluid, hydraulic fluid, and gear oil. Not to mention the exhaust fumes from the fuels.

Any product deliberately making an effort to infuse a scent is alright in my book. Lol

Way back in the days I used to lurk on this forum and would read alot of people ragging on Gold Class like only a noob would use it... That and Gold Class Leather product, especially the wipes, which would sort of p*** me off because both of them were my go to stuff for over 10yrs. straight. Lol. I was like what the hell are these guys talking about?!

I used to tell myself “1 day I’ll make an account and have 1 hell of an argument with those dudes”. Lol.

That’s why I love women who wear nice perfume.
And 1 of the reasons I hate dogs. They stink.lol.

Wipes are more convenient and you pay for that IMO, which is why I just buy/use leather conditioners in a bottle and use a designated applicator for it, that's just me.

Back then microfiber towels were non existent, at least to me they were... I also never used to apply any sort of wax or sealant. The 1 time I applied lsp on my 92’ Eldorado after a 3 day 3 step by hand it was some drywash that my brother convinced me was far better than any car wax available because they use that stuff to protect airplanes so I was convinced.

Btw my neighbor got rid of his German Shepherd that used to bark all night!
