I received my order from AG today, thank you team members! I bought a fresh bottle of 303 Touchless sealant, P&S Brake Dust Buster and finally the Rag Company Eagle Edgeless towels.

Now I've been using Luxury Microfiber towels since they opened up during Christmas and haven't looked back, so I'm going to see how these towels compare very soon. Now I will say they're very soft and I have them in the washing machine right now. I compared a Rag Company towel to a Luxury Microfiber towel and i noticed the LM towel to be a little thicker straight away. I know the Rag Company towels are 500 GSM and I'm pretty sure The Jack towels from LM are as well, so an initial nod goes to LM there, although the Eagles are brand new and not washed...yet, but im all over it.

My thoughts, for what they're worth, will be revealed in a comparison but I'll not refer to their proper name when I review them, let's just call them Brand LM vs. Rag Company Eagles

So...with all "chatter" about WW recently I decided to do one tonight, N914. It's been 2 days since the last wash and I feel much better about my car now! I even sprayed down the tires, wheels and wells and wiped them all down too, the product does EVERYTHING, even interior wipedowns

Needless to say, N914 mixed at the WW does EXACTLY the same thing as a designated, pre-made QD from any mfg...but LESS EXPENSIVELY, period

Did a waterless wash with Wolfgang Uber, which may end up replacing the Blackfire since it’s just as good and cheaper. Also used some Meguiars Endurance tire gel. I’m not a huge tire shine fan but it’s been a while so I wen for it. Lol

Here is where I'll disagree with this. N914 does not do EXACTLY what pre made quick detailers do from any manufacturer.

Ok sure, they both clean the layer of film/dirt on the surface. But here is where they differ, N914 has 0 shine enhancers or polymers.

Premade QD's will have some sort of polymer or shine enhancing "goodness" in them to qualify them as QD's.

Not trying to argue, just me nitpicking.

I'm just going to do this to appease the masses...

Car was cleaned up Wednesday but it had a light layer of pollen so I got after it. WW with N-914. Finished off with ECH2o. Never used ECH2o until today. Mixed it up at 1•20. At first I wasn't a fan. The buff off was grabby and I thought to myself "that's odd." Decided to try with a different towel and there it was. Buffed up real easy and felt very slick.

I'll end up trying it out as a WW and RW eventually just for fun, but my initial reason for purchasing was for a drying aid/QD.

After the N914 WW. My buddy Hectour told me it's been about 2 weeks since the last wash, the Eagle edgless mf towels pulled more grit out of the paint than that 1st pic might suggest! Now its onto the tires and wheels, N914 there too!

Ok, IGL Premier has been laid down, glass too and I even applied it to the rims. I dressed the tires with Gyeon Q2 Tire, 1 coat. It now sits till tomorrow morning where hopefully Mother Nature cooperates with us. See tomorrow is the annual Team Nostalgic Show at Busse Woods in Elk Grove Village Illinois. The show has gotten so big they had to find a new location and this is it.

Hope you enjoyed the pics

Hate quoting pics but since you didn’t write anything i wanted to make sure you knew my question was to you. Do you work at Detailers Domain or the same gen Viper is a coincidence? They were working on one just like that the other day.

So my car was driven in the rain Thursday, sat all day yesterday and driven to my buddy Hectour's today so I could work on his 79' Rx-7 so it's looking great for a big show tomorrow, meanwhile my car was "dirty". Now I say "dirty" but you had to look for the dirt because the IGL Premier is really getting the job done here but I needed to spruce up my ride.

Since it wasn't too bad I opted for a method I viewed on YouTube by Auto-Fanatic. He's a big fan of Griot's Garage foaming surface wash and Poly Gloss so he took it upon himself to mix the 2 together, so i figured I'd try it too but in my IK Foam 9 at a 1:1 ratio. When you do this you get a pinkish colored product, mixing strawberries and Pina colada together, awesome! Before this i decided to use Auto-Fanatic foaming wheel cleaner on the rims, it's been a while, came out perfect in the 6 oz "maintenance" ratio. Now I should also mention that I have Sonax wheel shield on there and by the time I had foamed my 4th wheel the foaming wheel cleaner had just fallen off, love Sonax wheel shield! I then foamed the car down with the above mentioned mix, tires and wheels too, wells and rinsed...the beading was just awesome, I'd say these products work very well with the IGL Premier I have on the car right now. Dried the car with The Sucker and Griot's Garage waffle weave for the glass, dynamic duo!

Later on I'll apply something to the tires and hopefully the weather isn't a total disaster tomorrow so I can attend my 1st Fuel Fed cars and coffee in Winnetka tomorrow morning and try and stop by and see the Team Nostalgic show my buddy Hectour will be in, I bet he wins a trophy too

I added a pic of his car from my detail at "Hectour's Lair", now equipped with new and improved lighting

Working on a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ.

  • Two stage correction (some three stage spot correction)
  • Wheel off clean/decon/polish/coating
  • Coating
  • Interior Deep Clean

Started yesterday, more to do today and tomorrow. Client is out of town for the long weekend, so I actually have the luxury of taking my time for once.

Which towels made the difference with the ECH2o?

Did some quick work on my friend’s ‘16 WRX. Did an Uber Waterless wash, clayed and then ULW. This will hold him off until I can do a correction in the next couple of weeks.

Had originally planned on washing the car with optimum car wash to post a picture of my bubbles in another thread, but when I got out there and was looking over my car it really wasn’t THAT dirty.

So I just rinsed it off with my pressure washer and went around wiping it down with Wolfgang Uber diluted as a waterless wash.

In hindsight the whole process felt rushed and very cumbersome, but everything came out just fine. Would’ve been faster had I just mixed up some car wash and done it that way, but at least I tried .
