What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I used the Ryobi under carriage washer today and it worked like a champ with a 1600psi machine.
Now granted my car is low so the spray is effective. Might be stretching it to use on a truck.

The wheels are 5" so there is that limit for low cars.

I have been using Megs Hyper-wash lately and all I can say is WOW. I feel like an idiot for waiting so long.
It works beautiful on CQUK3 cars. My new soap for everything.
I bought it to use as a wheel soap and just kept going.

It takes so little for bubbles and slippery soap.
This goes back to ELDO talking about Optimum car wash vs Hyper-wash. Now I see he is totally correct.

I forgot about that I got a whole gallon around here somewhere.

Quick WW with N 914. Wheel faces wiped down with N 914. Noticed a few tar spots so I grabbed tarminator and knocked them out. Then went over the panels I removed the tar from with N 914 and gave them a quick spritz with Optimum Car Wax.

Interior got a quick wipe down with McKees Fast Interior Detailer.

Switched over to Ultima WW+ from WG Uber and it worked very well on my first wash. I loved the Uber but I wanted something that had more of a wax booster built in especially for winter when I don’t have time for a spray wax/sealant after. It was barely 40 this morning and cloudy, but it worked very well and better than Uber in colder temps.

It hasn’t been a bad winter yet but there’s always a ton of salt thrown down whenever there’s a hint of snow but the Collinte 476 is holding up with minimal maintenance washing.

About 46 degrees here in SE Michigan and the car was fairly dirty so it got a wash.

Brake Buster on the wheels wheel wells and tires. Saw someone mention they did it at 9•1 so I gave it a shot. Worked well on my maintained car.

Foamed the car with Honey Dew Snow Foam (trying to get rid of it) rinsed with the Hydro shot and 1 bucket wash with multiple mitts using Carpro Reset. Rinsed with Hydroshot. Blew off the car and yesterday I mixed up a batch of UBER rinseless at QD strength because I haven't used it in a while. That was my drying aid.

Wiped down the jams and under the hood real quick and that was it. Tires aren't dressed now. Might go out later and throw some PERL on them.

One of my customers gave me some Griots wheel cleaner for Christmas. I usually just use some APC on the wheels and have it over with. Today I realized I was doing a half a$$ed job all that time. I used the Griots wheel cleaner with a wheel wooly and I couldn’t believe the difference. It is a great product and a great way to complete the detail process of your vehicle. I can actually read the wheel weights.

It hit 65 degrees here today. Insane for the middle of January!

Took advantage and washed the Ram (Hyperwash), topped off with Optimum spray wax, and hit the trim with another coat of McKee's Trim Restore.

Cleaned the windows inside with my Zap cloth, and wiped the interior plastics with Griot's interior cleaner.

Awesome spring-like day, and it feels GREAT to have a clean truck again. :)

Freaky weather in PA today. 65 degrees!! Gave the truck a much needed bath and interior cleaning. Of course they are calling for rain tonight. Better than snow.

How good is Hyperwash? I'm a reset man. I also will use Optimum Car Soap from time to time too. I've considered buying a gallon of Hyperwash on numerous occasions.

Have not been able to wash my Kia since I topped it with PA High Gloss in early december. It has been raining today but at 3pm it stopped for a while. So drag out the Kärcher K7 and fill the 2 buckets. Decided to test out my new Turtle Wax Wash Broom with mf chenille material and extended pole. Also revisit the Angelwax Enigma Ceramic Infused Car Soap which is a great one if you want something extra added from the wash. TW wash pole worked great and where able to aggitate it in an ordinary rinse bucket with grit guard and the grit board. Have a bucket with another kind of grit guard in it designed to be used with wash poles. Feeled slick and had great control with the TW wash pole and the cleaning ability from it where great. My nerve damaged back thanked me LOL.

Of cause it got dark after the wash and started to sprinkle some drops of rain. But since I didn`t see exactly how clean I got the car. I decided to dry it with the leafblower. The performance from PA High Gloss after a prewash with 50/50 Bilt Hamber Surfex HD and the BH Auto-Foam in 1:1 of water in the foamcannon. The chemical mix setting on the foamcannon where in the middle and got that runny foam BH has. Also sprayed on some cold degreaser/ tar remover on the lower side panels and the back of the car. I usually have a lot of tar spots. But now it where the heavy mix of road salt and road film that desolved. So the Gyeon Wet Coat topped with PA High Gloss seems to be getting me an awesome self cleaning ability from it which I`m very satisfied with. Also looked cleaner than the Ford Focus I maintain with about the same time between the washes. Then the Kia cee`d have more mileage on it during this time too. Hopefully we don`t get a long winter and in a month or so being able to wash it again.

No pictures today on the finished results from the wash.

In my opinion, it is very good.

The best cleaning soap I have tried.

I also use Optimum, and like it very much. It is a very close second for me.

For me personally in regards to Reset vs Optimum I find Optimum to be good but not nearly as good. What I love about Reset is how clean and easy it rinses.

I believe that most problems with soaps not rinsing easy/clean are from people using too much soap with the thinking that "More must be better".

Great to hear this about hyperwash. Had a gallon show up yesterday from AG. Wont be able to try it out until it warms up.
