What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Keep that on the low low. Lol. I try to blend in with general public. Don't let your left hand know what your right hand is holding as my P-pop use to say lol

^ My goodness! That silver just sings in the sun. If it looks that good in an electronic picture it must sizzle the retinas in person.

Hard to believe how close we are geographically yet we’re having one of our least snowy winters.

It is nice to see all the work I have put in on the paint is paying off. Like my brother said it is hard to think that it is 2009 model and probably looks better that it did when new. It may not have the pop of black like your SS but it defiantly plenty of gloss.

I was actually close to your area when I bought it, I got it from Westmont Audi which isn't too far from Plainfield.

I have a 18 McLaren 540c

Yep im jealous. And to be fair 400 for oil change aint bad for a Mclaren lol. Im not even in the same realm of vehicles as that. Ive had 30 different cars and they probably all wouldnt add up to half of that car lol. I was just curious what kinda car costs that much for a dang oil change.

My VW dealer charges $65 for a synthetic oil change so I just have them do it. Buying the kit myself would not save me much at all. And by going there it's easier for them to have records I've kept up and will not bring that up in case warranty services are needed. I usually spend a little more and pay them to rotate the tire as well, my garage has no room for me to do it in there. I don't agree with their long intervals, I go in every 6 months which is about 3750 miles for me.
Yeah my dealer charges $75 but I'm just not typically a dealer fan.

Thankfully the oil filters on all of my cars come off and go on the same way, so doing an oil change myself is straightforward. I do anticipate owning a car in the future where I’ll have to go to dealer for an oil change though.

After working 15 days straight, I had a well earned detail therapy session this afternoon, I had almost forgotten how good this is for my soul.

Started on the XE.

Mustang next.

Another coat of Reload.

Yikes. It looks like the DP line came back as a bad 80s iteration of chemical guys

My order from AG came yesterday. All was there and packaged well, thx :xyxthumbs:

Realized as I was putting my items away that I have way too much stuff and need to go through everything.

Took my Impreza through a touch less wash and then did a waterless wash at home with Ultima WW+. It’s been a while since they put salt down and we most likely won’t have it again this season.

Once it consistently warms up I might do the annual clay bar, light correction with D166 (for some random very light swirls from winter washing) and reapply Collinite 476. Even though it was a light winter snow wise, there was a decent use of salt and it held up extremely well since I applied it mid-November. Other than whatever is in the Ultima, I only boosted it with some 303 spray wax a couple of weeks ago. (Which is great, especially for the price)
