What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Changed winter wheels (which weren’t really needed this winter) to summers... except driver side rear which the shop paid Hulk to tighten two of the lug nuts... pretty pissed.

Also coated the front calipers, a first for me (wasn’t too thorough but at least I did something).

Tried out some new DP Detailing Products from the giveaway. Washed my wife’s car at the pay and spray and came home to give it a waterless wash and interior wipe down, nothing major. After that got to work and cleaned up and waxed my new to me 30 year old $1200 Miata. Products used were the DP Car Shampoo, DP Iron Remover, DP Wheel and Tire Cleaner, DP Waterless Wash and DP Polish & Seal.

Not today but yesterday it was about 55 in SE Michigan. Car wasn't overly dirty and I didn't have a ton of time so it was a RW with N-914. Finished up with some Uber at QD dilution for a bit of pop and slickness.

Didn't have time to do a full wheel cleaning so the wheel faces and pockets were cleaned with N 914 and tires were lighting wiped down.

Jams and under the hood were wiped with the same Uber QD and tires dressed with PERL.

Looks nice. Last week it was warm enough in PA on Thursday I was able to do a full wash outside. Today it's awesome here, 71F! But the car is already clean so I don't have to wash it again. Tomorrow it will rain and I'm not leaving the garage :)
I just went to the VW dealer to look at a Golf R. Would be a nice upgrade of my GTI but not nice enough to pay what they want. They lowballed me on my trade (after asking if I actually use the car because it looks brand new) and wanted full sticker on the R, said no discount at all on those. I said bye and came home happy in my GTI.

I'm trying to get swirls on the company car so I can test the new DP All-In-One

This is great!! Just like the product, did mine by hand and it really restored the color and cleaned the paint well. Excited to see your results!

Yeah I was at a dealer in Saturday with my sister and they have a few Rs on the lot. But yeah I can't really justify the price difference on a GTI vs an R. What did they offer? If you don't mind me asking.

When I'm working hard, so is the workhorse. Today I gave the Ranger a good going over. Even the tray, underside and rubber mat got some attention.

Finished up with another coating of Reload.

$17k. Carvana and Vroom offered $17.2k and $17.5k respectively. For that little I’ll just keep enjoying my car.

This is what you call guaranteed success at failure ...or something like that :).

Gave inside of my envoy deep clean. Only pics i took was before and after of the seatbelt pocket. In the 2 yrs of ownership have to say ive never scrubbed there. Used some lata diluted 5:1 and all was well. Also cleaned carpet real well and got some stains out.

I polished the woodgrain inside my car with Meguiars Plastx. I think it turned out real nice.

Then I used it to remove some fine scratches on this plastic lens display. I forgot to take before pics, but if you look closely at the top/bottom of this pic you can see the scratches that had covered the entire piece prior to the Plastx.
