What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Did a quick AIO and sealant on my wife’s boss’ Lexus. We’re moving soon and she wanted to get one last detail done before we left. She’s been a client of mine for about 3 years and my first paying job. I’ll always appreciate that!!

-McKees 360
-Megs UFF
-Adams Cordless Polisher
-LC CCS green pads
-P&S Brake Buster
-Turtle Wax Spray Coating(Wheels)
-EcoTouch Tire Shine(used to be sold here, anybody remember this brand!?)

It came out pretty good, there was a couple of passes that I thought it was going to die, started oscillating real bad...kinda hoping it would so I could buy a G9 but then again I was about half way through and didn’t want to stop!

Maintenance wash for the Mustang and Ranger today.

Perfect to try my new pressure washer.

Really, really happy with it's performance. Not even a bitter cold snap could dampen my enthusiasm.

As you know, one of the best time to detail a vehicle is when you are going to trade it in or sell it. I think that is true for other things such as my Snapper gas powered mower. Because I have a complete tear in both my rotator cuffs, I wanted a Snapper battery powered mower because it is lighter, quieter and most importantly, no starter rope to pull. Just push a button and go.

Yeah, but does the battery powered one come with that fantastic beer holder?? :)

I had a mower similar to the one below. As a professional, on a hot day, having a drink bottle on hand was a great feature to have.

Detailed my wife’s car yesterday - first time with a machine polisher. Used Blackfire One Step and Hybrid Liquid Wax and gotta say, I am a fan. Notice all the nice paint transfer door dings in the first two before pictures. All gone and shining like a diamond in the last two pictures.

A rare photo of the car cuz I'm usually to lazy to pull it out of the garage for pictures

Wheels tires foamed with Brake Buster, wheel wells got a good soaking with 3D orange degreaser at 4•1. Wheels sprayed with Gyeon Wetcoat.

Paint foamed up with Meguiars Hyperwash and left to dwell while I used a soft brush to clean all the nooks and crannies. Rinsed and then bucket washed with Reset and rinsed again. Sprayed the paint and glass with Wetcoat and rinsed. And then dried. Tires dressed with PERL.

Had to go to Aldi to pick up groceries after I showered so it was out in the open and ready for a photo.

The mustang and GTI look great!

While grilling, I kept staring at my wife’s Flex and how dirty it was. So after dinner I busted out the power washer and supplies. Wheels and tires cleaned with Meguiars non acid wheel and tire cleaner and a tuff shine brush. Washed the vehicle with Meguiars car wash with carnuba. Dried with cobra guzzler and Gyeon silk drying towel. Tires dressed with Griots black satin tire coating.

Living off of a dirt road definitely has some draw backs. I could see small amounts of dust settling into the roof a half hour after completing it.

So I did my first wash since doing the TAC System Power Plus coating on the ES last Saturday. Now I know what your going to say, your supposed to wait 1 week, that would be tomorrow but I couldn't wait and besides, I did let it cure inside for 24 hrs before I took it out and it's been pretty sunny and hot this week so I think I'm good to go. Real quick the gloss is I N C R E D I B L E

To start things off I pre-treated the tires and wheelwells with Alien Kleen and used Auto-Fanatic foaming wheel cleaner on the rims and got after them with the usual 4 brushes and rinsed. I then foamed the car with Auto-Fanatic Snow Foam, let dwell and rinsed off. Ofcoarse at this point the beading was INSANE but it is the first wash after application but the beads on the roof were tight! At this point the car looked very clean but I had the 2BM ready to go so that was next. I used one capful of Built-Hamber carwash soap and honestly could've used 1/2 a cap, stuff is sooooo concentrated. After the wash/rinsing I used my Master Blaster to dry off the majority of the car and the tires/wheels real good, the rest of the car I used a Griot's Garage PFM and designated towel on the leftover on the tires/wheels but my 4 1/2 old is getting better on the tires/wheels though

I finished up using 303 Tire Balm on the tires, maybe a 2nd coat tomorrow
