What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Nahh.. I’m using the nano abrasive line. 45, 90, 150, Z1.

Made it sound fancy.

Took the opportunity to wash mine (Mazda) and one-step the wife’s Tucson with BFOS.

I was pleasantly surprised with how well the Tucson turned out considering it rarely gets washed and has never been polished.

Hoseless/Rinseless wash on a nice Audi.

That Wolfgang Über solution is no joke.
Pleasantly glossy after drying.

Topped it off with some siO2 juice.

Roger, you ready for the snow tonight? I’m running my Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ as long as I can. Actually looking forward to trying them in snow. Tonight’s snow will only be on the grass so I’ll have to wait a bit.

I was finally able to get my car into the garage on Friday so I decided would give it some prep just before winter hits. On friday I went and got a 40# propane cylinder filled for the heater and pulled the car in and did a WW with n-914 at PW strength. I then did clay the hood since it wasn't quite smooth. I then did a complete wipe down with Gtechnic PW to prep for a fresh coat of wax.

Then on Sat I put another coat of wax on it while it was still setting. Then on Sunday I finished it off with a spritz of PA high gloss.

The strange thing is that the car looked the best in the picture I took at the hardware store when I got the propane considering that it had only been washed at a touchless a couple weeks before and probably got just as clean driving in a couple of the fairly heavy rains we have had lately.I guess the coating is still doing it's job at over a year and a half since it was applied. I did give it a coat of wax and spritz a few months ago and a spritz of HG last Feb but nothing else to it since it was applied in march 2019.

Took the big Falcon out for a run in this morning and collected three bugs and some dust along the way.

Oh well, I guess that meant I had an excuse to wash it!

Feeling generous, I decided to give her a coat of a product we have in Australia, Nova Lustre.

This color is called "Emperor", it just glows in sunshine after some love.

Am I the only nut-job who puts a towel down to protect the carpet mats?

I wonder about the physics of a bug flying so fast, it can get hit by a spoke of a wheel spinning on a car going probably 80kmh or faster.

Or do we need the Mythbusters, do you have a bug gun hidden in your garage? Another excuse for some detail therapy.

those audi's previously posted (btw, very nice) remind me a bit of the redesigned 2022 honda civic (pics below), which isn't a bad thing for sure (a little bit of VW too). clean lines and not too busy styling that ages well. haven't been impressed with the last few generation of accord and civics, mainly the rear end with the lobster claw (civic) and stapler tail lights (accord) to name one thing. kudos to honda for cleaning the civic up (SI and Type R next). next the accord...

The Rock Star has been such a happy boy lately, especially this afternoon after chasing a pussycat out of the back yard. He seemed very pleased with his work.

I think I win that prize today, I did some trail driving this morning, you're meant to use both 4 high and 4 low once a month, to ensure that the internals remain properly lubricated. I only did about 15 kms, but it took about an hour. The Collinite didn't allow much to stick to the paint. I think the pressure washer will come out for this job.
