What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

The Qashqai got driven in a very light shower yesterday, enough to cover it in tiny dust spots. Gave it an ONR wash in the garage this afternoon, dried it with Bowden's After Glow, the first time I've used them together, worked well. View attachment 71662View attachment 71663

I think I win that prize today, I did some trail driving this morning, you're meant to use both 4 high and 4 low once a month, to ensure that the internals remain properly lubricated. I only did about 15 kms, but it took about an hour. The Collinite didn't allow much to stick to the paint. I think the pressure washer will come out for this job. My Jeep looks like that going 10 mph down 1/4 mile of the dirt road I live off of after a rain. Drives me insane.

Well my car made it one day at least. My son had the garage full last night so I had to park outside till this after noon. Guess what happened lol.

After 3 months of Real Estate School and 2 weeks of studying for the national exam, I finally had a moment to wash the babies. Topped them both with PA Cosmic Spritz. Love the gloss it provides!

Garage wash done

Really enjoying this dip plus ceramic coating

So much easier to wash and dry.

Dries without contact with ego leaf blower.

As requested, for some reason they decided to go with the European name over here, Rogue sounds much better. Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear often called it the Nissan Kumquat, which is what I call it occasionally. Perfect vehicle for my Mum. View attachment 71680View attachment 71681

Rainy and mid 40s today in the Great state of Michigan so I decided to give the car a bath. Will be in the garage the rest of the day and tomorrow as well.

Today was sort of a use a couple of products that I don't use/love. So those products were ONRWW for a RW and Beadmaker to top.

Wheels and tires got Brake Buster. Cleamed them up real nice. Beadmaker streaks so badly in cooler temps, but life goes on.

Went out later to dress the tires with PERL. Now she sits for a couple days.

Took the FJ to the car wash this morning, thought I'd spray the mud off from Tuesday's trail run, better on their driveway than mine. I'll give it a proper wash next week, this weekend is going to be hot, 37C on Saturday and 41C on Sunday.

Got bored this afternoon, so I gave the Qashqai a layer of Concours Nova Lustre that I forgot I had. Possibly confirmation bias, but I think it looks even glossier. View attachment 71687View attachment 71688View attachment 71689View attachment 71690

I detailed the interior of trashed Nissan Maxima yesterday... These are the only 2 pictures I took. Lol.

That Tuff Shine Tire Brush works great as a carpet brush.

Yeah, it's one of those colours that does that. In the pic that looks purple, there is an open door to the left, letting bright daylight in, and fluorescent lights above, the blue pic just has the fluorescent light above.

Intense THANKSGIVING morning wash/detail on the truck. Peace and quiet after a rough 3 days at work. 4 off now. Thank god. It is now MILLER TIME!!

Washed and dried a load of MF towels, also started my inventory prior to thinning the herd.

We received some light rain this week, just enough to muck up the light dust on horizontal surfaces...and I had to drive through a muddy parking lot at a clients business.

Since we’re going to a friends house for Thanksgiving and in order to uphold my reputation, I foamed the car, let it dwell for several minutes, rinsed off, then blew dried the car...I’ve never done this before and I wasn’t 100% sure it knocked everything off, so I did a quick rinseless was using WG Uber just to make sure it was clean, it did!

Did I mention that it’s going to rain Friday and Saturday?

The pains we go through!

Jay

Ran to the DIY car wash down the road and sprayed the salt off my Golf R. Drove home and dried it with leaf blower.

I'm going to look into ONR for this winter. The pressure wash removed most of the crusty stuff, but the film still remains. I'd like to be able to get it 'sparkling clean' a few times this winter.

Can I suggest Griot's Garage Brillant Shine rinseless wash
