What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Yeah, they predicted inches up here by us, the EPMD, GPS, Euro and whatever other alphabet soup model they brought up on Wed or Thursday....nothing I like when they're wrong but how could they be so off and btw, 1-3" isn't a storm either
Ended up with 1.7” of rain down here, nary a flake to be seen.
Also, detailing related I lined up a wash, clay, polish & coat job on Boxing Day.

The Vasectomy Change?

Today was buff out a 15 year old pickup and revive the paint. Then an emergency call for an interior that a kid puked in.

-I clayed the B and C pillars on The Edge.
-Applied TACsystem Moonlight to the passenger side rear window...the small
one in the rear.
-Took an 8” wool buffing pad and metal polish to the diamond plating on a trailer...what a mess. It’s shinier, but the black residue left over pretty much embedded itself in the chrome pitting.
-Made a house call and performed an Über siO2 rinseless wash on a fine piece of German engineering:

I had a bit of play with a new product whilst detailing the Wildtrack today, Chemical Guys Bare Bones UnderCarriage Spray. This product is said to clean, restore and protect under carriage components like wheel well liners.

The application process involves spraying directly onto the surface to be treated, allowing to soak for 5 min before wiping to level the finish.

I'm not sure I like the finish or application of this product. Being oil based, I found the direct spraying created some over-spray splatter spots. I want to try a less liberal application, perhaps spraying into a microfibre and wiping the product on. I did like the sweet cherry fragrance though.

I like Griot's Garage Under carriage spray but I don't use it all that often because I don't have something special enough to use it on. For my car, a cheap product to darken the wells would be good enough compared to a thick, longer lasting product like the one Griot's offers.

Looks pretty good... For wheel wells I 1st clean with Megs APC, then spray Megs Hyper Dressing.

A big box arrived while I was at work today.

I can't begin to explain how excited I am about this addition, I have wanted a sink in the garage for so long. The idea of opening my chemical cabinet, grabbing what I want and then mixing everything up just a step away will be very satisfying.

Assembled, of course I broke out the TarX and Eraser to remove the protection plastic adhesive.

Ready for installation. Hopefully the wait for a plumber wont be as long as I have delayed getting to this point. CAN'T WAIT!

UPS dropped by a large box with PBMG on it. I haven't ordered anything. Guess who has been good enough to get detailing items off his Christmas list! Im the MAN

This happened last night and I finally had a chance to wash my wife’s van on Sun. So I’m behind a black Toyota Sienna and wondered if it was my wife’s. I noticed it was dirty and of course my wife’s van was nicely detailed just a couple days earlier. Normally I wouldn’t have been able to tell but for one week I knew by the cleanliness. :)

Washed my truck...first time in 6 months...hunting season is rough on stuff. But hit it with hydro blue after. Good for a bit more. Needs clayed and polished but have to figure out how to address my failing clearcoat above 1 door. Must’ve been missed as it’s in great shape everywhere else. May do the poor red neck fix and sand it some and hit with some rattle can 2k clear to get it by for a while more. Truck was built in 05 with 133xxx and has had a rough life. Still plugging along though

Gave my R a wash with my new Griot's Rinseless Wash.
First did a quick spray at the DIY wash down the road to get the heavy stuff off. Turned out very nice. I put a layer of C2V3 on after this was taken.

Detailed my wife and my recumbent trikes. We put on 60 miles a week and after almost two months back in AZ, they were kinda grungy from riding bike paths with puddles from their sprinkler systems.

Those look so comfortable.
60 miles a week, I don't think I've put that many miles/week on my car since March.
