What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

The 3 seasons are back on....and so is the pollen After I prepped them I put them inside the car for a couple hrs till my appointment for swap out. By the time they were done and I pulled the car out of the bay I could see the pollen on the rims already....W T F Maybe if it rains alot this week coming up it will wash it all out of the air and from the roads too....PLEASE

Engine bay cleaning with Griots engine cleaner followed by SONUS Trim & Motor Kote. Used up my Mother's wheel & tire cleaner (which isn't very powerful but ok for a maintenance wash) on the wheels and Tuf Shine on the tires. Then ONR RW. DG 253 on the tires and Griots ceramic speed shine after the photos.

Now I'm ready for cars and coffee tomorrow. Thankfully the coffee part is low effort.

Had a leak in the garage over the winter and the extra moisture made some of my pads moldy.

I finally got around to re-pack all my pads. To make sure it doesnt happen again.... I put each pad in its individually air sealed zip lock baggie with a moisture absorbing packet. Yes... I am anal that way. LOL !!!

The 6.5" pad fit in the zip lock bag as well since these bags stretch quite a bit...

I gave the paint on the FJ a wipe down with NV Boost, then wiped down all plastic trim with NV Clarity, prior to treating it with Autoglym Bumper & Trim Gel. I even did the air vents and wiper trim behind the hood, 3 of each, fiddly and hard to reach.

Now for some lunch while watching the Bathurst 6 hour race. And at some point I'll give the trim a light buff later this afternoon.

Yeah that FJ is wildly clean. Love it.
Not all of it, my dirty little secret, the engine bay. It's just not designed to be cleaned. The black plastics all have sharp edges, and the metals, look good when you're cleaning them, when they're wet, but when they dry, the mud becomes visible again. And since I go offroading regularly, I only give it a wipe over when it's going in for a service View attachment 72991View attachment 72992

Spent my Sunday detailing, my visiting sisters Mazda first then a customer car in the afternoon.

My sisters well maintained Mazda 3 was an easy one, just a quick maintenance wash and interior clean. I'm always impressed with the quality of this car every time I'm in it.

The customer car was a 2019 Kia Sportage S in Mercury Blue.

All done! I actually don't mind this colour, it has plenty of metal flake and really popped with the combo of Hydr02 and Bead Maker.

I understand completely

Finished up some loose ends today. TW HS coating on all door jambs and tailgate jamb. Then SONAX rubber seal treatment on all door jamb weather stripping.

That truck is done from top to bottom. Off tomorrow. Time to RELAX!

I finally got a chance to wash my DD. My DD lives outside 100% of the time and never seen the inside of a garage (my garage queen and my detailing supplies filled up the garage). The car has 303 graphene on it since November 2020 and this was the first wash since then. I did use Ech2O as a QD after the wash this time to give it a little slickness.

Was trying to let my kid take care of his own car but it isn’t his priority. Couldn’t stand it anymore so I got a bucket of ONR and went to it. Had a large bird bomb (or something) on the hood - didn’t come off with the wash, with OPC, an opc soaked paper towel but finally shifted with a scrubby sponge I got from the rag company. Going to iron decon and clay soon before polishing. There is some road rash on the from lower fascia where he hit a hard snow bank and a large scratch on the rear fender that’ll need some attention.

SMW turned into SAW with the threat of rain!

Hit the tires and wheels with Meg D143 and a tire brush since the tires were dusty from going to a clients house in the country, wheels just spray, dwell rinse...topped them off with DP Tire Gell.

Car got Wolfgang SiO2 wash with multiple MF towels, dried with the awesome GG PFM and leaf blower to get the crevices!

I thought I was finished but I found an unopened bottle of WG Spritz on the shelf...so I cruised around the car making it real shiny! The combo of 303 Graphene, WGDGPS, and the WG Spritz (starting to feel like Rog!) really gives that deep black shine I like!

Looks GREAT!

Hope you don't mind - I edited your post and using the [ENTER] key - separated your pictures to make them line-up in a linear manner plus put some white space between them to make it more enjoyable to see them.

I do this for lots of people - only takes a few seconds. You can do this in TapaTalk but it takes extra finger work.

Having been my chariot for the weekend, the XR6 deserved a detail today.

Today's little extra involved cleaning and conditioning the steering wheel.

Used NV Cleanse and Nourish, the result being very nice to hold. :D

And there is something very satisfying about freshly cleaned and dressed tyres. :xyxthumbs:

Finally had some time to clean up the daily! Quick maintenance wash with Reset, Ech2O as drying aid, and Griot's Satin Black Tire Coating on the tires.

Time to place my WT AW mats in the attic and replace with some USA Made Cocoa Mats. I think the biggest improvement in the car interior's visual appearance goes to the mats. Rubber mats are literally impossible to keep clean - well because they ain't supposed to be clean, they are there to keep the carpeting clean, BUT I just don't like the looks of dirty mats. BTW, the seats are a deep maroon, kind of like black cherry in color, the the bright red shown in these pics.
