What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

So I took the ES into the dealership and they washed it It wasn't even dirty, not even close, so I guess I've gotta say something EVERYTIME

I pulled out of there and dried the car completely and got home and decided to wipe it down with something and that "something" was "Eve's better halfs" graphene detailer. I'll say this, the similar product I'm beta testing had better as good or better because I REALLY like THIS product. It can be used wet or dry and a little truely goes a looooong way here

After that I applied 2x's 303 Tire Balm to freshen up the tires and also applied the graphine trim coating I'm beta testing. I applied it initially about a month ago and it didn't really "need" a boost but I wanted to do it. I did do the cowl area around the wipers though, so that's a fresh coat.

The car now sits looking good till tomorrow morning for cars and coffee...where's my winter coat

Thank you! Tint is coming soon going to need it for the summer.

Stance and some nice shoes do wonders on many cars lol

I'm sitting on my bicycle at a long light I spy the front and rear end of a 1940 Ford Woodie Wagon....yes, the paint and wood were exemplary. A utility box is blocking the center of the car. The light changes and I see the Meguiar's logo and bingo.... Barry behind the wheel!
He moved to the Paradise Valley, AZ area last year and I finally made a spotting of Mr. Car Crazy!

Yes, his black woodie was detailed to perfection!

When I last left you I said the car was ready for C&C tomorrow morning but I went for a little ride and came back and parked the ES. A little bit later I heard a leaf blower but thought nothing about it till I took some random duty mf towels out to the ES only to see yard clipping in the wind and all over the ES. The house behind me was getting some yard work done

I was pi$$ed at first but I then thought "time to use a new soap"! That new soap was "Eve's better half" graphene carwash soap. Now i decided to use it in my IK 1.5 but it was hard to pump...dirty felt tip was the culprit, no problem. Now i watched their video and they said because of the protection added in there it wasn't going to Foam as much, even though they added something to help it Foam. This was kinda true in the video where they used a Foam cannon. Well I don't have a Foam cannon, I've got a CG's foam gun and my IK 1.5. My foam gun has left over Griot's Garage Ceramic wash and coat in it so I just used the IK 1.5 since it was empty....I'm glad I did! After pumping up the IK 1.5 the foam was thick and laid down nicelyI did the entire car, tires/wheels/wells and when I rinsed it off the beading was C R A Z Y (I did lay down some of their graphene detailer earlier too, double graphene day)

I dried the ES with the Sucker Sr and Griot's Garage PFM moping up the left over water. I then dried the tires and applied 1 coat of their graphene tire coating to even out the fresh

I then wiped down the seats and interior w/ Mckee's interior detailer and sprayed CG"s Signature scent to finish off the interior

Atleast it will look good tomorrow and well protected for the S N O W coming for Tuesday I don't care if it isn't going to stick, this S U C K S! It was 80 degrees 3 days in a row to start off the work week 2 weeks ago and it's been going downhill ever since, my God enough is enough already

Gave my wife's new ride a quick wash and spray seal. I told the dealer not to touch it, as it was fresh off of the truck. It saved me 2 hours at the dealer. Lol

Looking forward to experimenting with this color, it really pops in the sun.

Ooooh, Snazzberry. Nice Jeep! Don't forget to wave (although most angry grill Jeeps don't wave back, so I stopped waving to them). Get the top off ASAP, that's where the fun is.

Standard Sunday morning wash, D143 on tires and wheels, WG SiO2 shampoo with multiple MF towels, GG PFM to dry, finally hit the tires with DP Tire Gel (1 coat).

I got a wild hair later in the afternoon, I found a small sample jar of Dodo Juice Blue Velvet hard wax that I bought a couple of years ago, didn’t realize at the time that is was a hard wax and just put it aside!

As my knowledge increased by reading AGOnline and the recent releases of some new waxes, I decided to finally give it a try!

With a MF applicator and the little bitty jar in my hand, I went to work. It took about 20-30 minutes to cover the entire car, I let it haze for about 15 minutes and grabbed a plush MF towel to wipe, pretty easy to wipe although a couple of spots were a little grabby.

I pulled the car outside to examine my work but as soon as I did, Mother Nature came calling with a quick shower...pulled the car back in and called it the day.

I finally got to see my work this morning after arriving to work....definitely has a pop to it!

Thank you
Jay

I usually do some light winter interior cleanings. Did some full blown interiors for the truck and wife's new (in November) Expedition.

I have been using mckees floormat rejuvenator but find that it doesn't do that well with the weathertech or the harder/stiffer plastic mats. It did really well with the flexible rubber. Sure the mats were clean, but not really shiny new black like the rubber ones. What do you all use to bring the black back and leave the dusty dirt look in the past? Obviously I don't want anything slippery either.

Opie- the Escalade looks great!

Jayfro- The Acura looks great wearing the DoDo Juice. I have their Orange Crush which makes my Camaro look next level. Now I want to try their Scarlet Fever. Going to wait until my Orange Crush is gone, though.

Wash time for the FJ, wasn't off-road dirty, but we've had a some rain as well as heavy dew every morning.

Wheels cleaned with NV Purge.

2B wash with Bowden's Nanolicious, I got a sample packet from somewhere, so I thought I'd give it a test, great lubricity, cleaned fine, nice smell.

Dried with Bowden's After Glow.

Finished off with NV Lustre, the roof really needed it, but I went over the whole thing. View attachment 73119View attachment 73120

Perfectly parked^^^^^^^^^

It has to be, the FJ is a little bit wider than the Qashqai, if I'm off centre I can't get my work platform down both sides. They have almost the same wheelbase though, so where the parking stop I have on floor is, means either can be reversed in, and I can shut the garage door and still walk behind them to my work bench.

So I got off of work @6, went grocery shopping, came home and put that away and made dinner. The car has been dusty-dirty so I had to do something. I grabbed my CG's foam gun, added Griot's Garage foaming surface wash to the fine, topped off with water and got out there. I ended up using the entire mix on the car, went over it about 3x's, let dwell, rinsed and dried. Now I call this an "express wash" because I didn't scrub the tires/wheels or do a contact wash.

I also put my detailing supplied BACK IN the trunk as our little freeze is over. Tomorrow at work I'll vac out my side and Kendall's side, wipe her area down and dress the tires before going into finish the work week....then it rains on Sat, oh well

I
Hydrate with and PFM.... love that combo after Frothe.... feels like butter. Never used it after another rinseless or waterless. How is it with ONR?
