What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Standard Sunday morning wash, D143 on the tires and wheels, DG901 for the main wash since I just laid down a coat of DoDo Juice Blue Velvet wax last week.

Afterwards, I decided to lay another coat of Blue Velvet down since two coats are better than one...and why not!

As that was curing, I decided to lay down a coat of 303 Graphene on the wheels since Rog, aka Klasse does it, if it’s good enough for Rog then it’s good enough for me (God help me)!

I was out of MF and foam pads so I used a MF towel, applied a thin coat and let it haze. The removal wasn’t bad, a lot better than the DP Wheel Wax I typically use. After applying, they felt nice and smooth but I really couldn’t tell if it the look was better. Later in the evening, I went to the store and as I was walking by the car, the shine of the wheels caught the corner of my eye....whoa..it was shiny!!! I was very impressed!

I also washed the wife’s X3, used the leftover DG901 and added a little bit of WG SiO2 wash, hit the wheels and tires with D143, looks good but it’s white and hard to see huge improvements. It will get its makeover in the coming weeks.

Washed with CG Honey Dew Snow Foam and Foam cannon. Used TW Flex Wax as a drying aid. Two drying towels were required. I am pleased with the result. I tried Armor All ceramic wheel cleaner. The AA is a aerosol foam spray. Works well on lightly soiled wheels.

The pollen was C R A Z Y!

It was bad when I took my daughter to school this morning but when I got off of work it was worse, mainly because of the windy conditions today I had weird patterns on the topsides of the ES, so I had to do something...but first a trip to the ice cream cafe' with Kendall I then made her dinner and went outside to get after it!!

I simply added 2 ounces of P&S Pearl to my IK Foam 9 (finally calling it the right name) and used 1/2 the container on the car, tires & wheels and the wheelwells. I let it dwell and the P&S Pearl lifted that pollen off and created yellow puddles all around the car...eeeeek

I dried the car with the Sucker drying towel, grabbed my mini Master Blaster for the tires & wheels, even the jams and grill area too. To finish up a light coat of "Eve's better half" graphene tire coating. I mean the Gyeon Tire was still looking good but I wanted an even, "freshly applied" look, I'm sure you guys understand I also added some more CG's Signature Scent in the interior.

Wonder what tomorrow holds instore...besides 85 degree temps

Did not sleep last night and spent 3.5 hrs at the doctors / appointments this morning. It didn't stop me from doing some detailing on my day off though!

Maintenance wash on the old mans Ranger, using the delightful smelling GSF soap. Working away on the Ranger made forget how tired I was.

Nothing serious, I hope.

I had an appointment at the dentist today, for a cleaning, still seeing my old dentist in Sydney, 2 hours south. So the FJ is covered in bug guts, so thought I'd get to wash it tomorrow, nope, got to go back Thursday for a filling. Guess I'll be washing it either Friday or Saturday.

I picked up a nice little IK Foam Pro 2 sprayer and am quite impressed. Plans are to integrate it into my workflow for use with my Nano Mitts when decontaminating vehicles. I normally use a small bucket of water and my mitt but I think the foam will work better and the who system will be easier to use. I may have to reload it once depending on the size of the vehicle but it seems a little of this foam will go a long way as I clay. My first real use of it will be tomorrow on a 1996 Nissan Skyline GT-R R33 that I'm doing.

So the pollen has been crazy, its rained a couple days in a row and the car was a mess, atleast it sat out in the rain and I didn't have to drive on wet roads...let's get after it

After dinner last night I was ready to get out there....then it started raining It stopped after 20 minutes and it started clearing, so I got out there. I added 2 ounces of Auto-Fanatic snow Foam to my IK Foam 9 and foamed down the ES, including tires/wheels/wells and let it dwell longer since the car was already wet. I rinsed it down, then free flowing water. While wet I tried out the brand new Auto-Fanatic Gloss Enhancer w/ceramic on the paint and dried with the Sucker. I dried the tires and wheels but didn't put any dressing on...till just 15 minutes ago, Auto-Fanatic tire dressing.

Now the car is nice for my drive to work this morning

Welp...just purchased my first flex! Supa Beast cant wait to meet you.

Just hope i don't have buyers remorse when i wake up lol. Was nice i snagged the 15% off:xyxthumbs:

Not sure why you would have remorse on a great machine. I think that will be my next tool.

Got some bettix bottles, funnels, etc. So I transferred some chemicals to the bettix bottles.

US Plastic. Their shipping costs are high so if you just need one, eBay would be a better bet.

So I had some "tweaks" done to the ES, nothing major but things to make it a little more unique.

Pic #1 I call emblem definition. Had satin black vinyl put around the H logo, it was body color stock.

Pic #2 is where I had amber Lamin-X applied to the clear turn signals in the mirror.

Pic #3 I had the amber Lamin-X applied to the DRL lens. They're not as orange as the new KIA K5 but still looks nice.

Pic #4 is an overall view to show how everything ties in. Next plan is for 30-35% window tint, long overdue for that with black leather interiorSometime in the newr future I'll be upgrading the tires to Continental DWS06 Plus but going up a size to 235/40/18 from 225/40/18.

Stay "tuned"...yeah, that's a possibility as well

Luckily I have a sizable war chest to fight this pollen war...mount up

After changing out the dirty tip in my IK Foam 9 it kicked arse once again. Had leftover Auto-Fanatic snow foam and it worked great. I then grabbed my smaller IK foamer loaded with Auto-Fanatic foaming wheel cleaner mixed with some CG's Glossworkz to clean the tires and wheels. I went for a little ride and they actually needed a good cleaning as I did a simple foam/rinse on them the last 2 washes, that's a no-noWhile the rims were wet I sprayed TWHS Pro Flex Wax on them, let sit for a minute and rinsed away... welcome to Bead City! I mean it was beading already but this took it back up

Once I was all done drying I applied Adam's tire dressing, sprayed CG's Signature Scent in the interior after some light vac work and now I'm done...with this pollen as it's already forming, my God when does it end (it was windy today, so that didn't help)

I'll give it a little wipe down when I get to C&C tomorrow! After the show I'm heading over to my buddy Hectour's to do my every other detail on his 79' Rx-7. It's in good shape, so I'm going to try 3D Speed w/ orange GG foam pad and see where I'm at. I also have 303 polish and fine polish in the bag, along with 303 compound if need be, along with GG mf pads. This will be the first usage of the 5" backing plate conversion/pads on my GG6, along w/ 2" conversion on my GG3. Looking forward to tomorrow, I need the therapy

The first picture is a side view of my hood after a work day where it sprinkled. I was so annoyed driving my car out to eat at a local cafe but we ate outside under an overhang and it thankfully rained. Second picture is after dinner and a good rain.
