What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I have a renewed respect for the pro detailers! I also found out wheel cleaners are better suited for wheels - not eyes...:(
Foamed with Griots Foaming Surface Wash
Wheels and tires cleaned with Griots Wheel Cleaner and Optimum POWER CLEAN
Washed with Gyeon's Bathe
Iron remover Gyeon Iron Remover
Clayed with Griots Brilliant Finish Synthetic Clay and Gyeon's Clay Lube
Polished Blackfire One Step
Wiped down Gyeon's Prep
Coated Fictech Crystal
Toppe Ficteck Gliss

All products worked well. I was very pleasantly surprised with the Fictech coating and Topper. It was extremely easy to apply and wipe off. Leveling not even a thought. Interior clean as always.
Wheels Tires and Glass still to tackle.
Pollen's a #####.

Not sure why you would have remorse on a great machine. I think that will be my next tool.

Ahh only cuz its not cheap. Buy once cry once. Im super stoked for it to come in and put it to work! I already got plenty of work lined up for it.

The truck got a quick handy today. It needed it after being doused with all the pollen in the air.
Zeposhine for soap
Meguiars d143 on the wheels/tires
Adam's quick detailer for drying aid
Meguiars M40 for tire shine

That color is crazy, it's literally 2 different colors in different lighting, Mazda is killing it with their paint colors

It's cool you've added the custom, hand laid stripping on the hood Let's others from that era that you haven't forgotten your roots

While running a load of our clothes in the washing machine I decided to get after that pollen. This time around I used Beadmaker and put it on HEAVY on the topsides and glass. With all the other products I've been using as of late if forgot how S L I C K Beadmaker was, WHOAI know there's going to be more on there come morning but it's less I've gotta wipe off when I get to C&C tomorrow morning

I also gave the tires a 2nd coat of Adam's tire dressing...just because

Thanks, yeah pinstriping (hand painted) ain't for everyone, but I feel it works to bring some life to that polymetal gray color.

After having about a dozen birds simultaneously crap on my car Friday night, I hit the self wash to rinse off the crap asap. Tonight was a 2 bucket wash on both cars with hyper wash to get the pollen off. The PFM got really heavy drying the car after this compared to a rinseless wash. Probably could have blown the car off some first.

Wow, that's a lot of crap to deal with. I see you like your Mazdas. Mine is new to me, but it's a nice ride.

Gave the FJ a wash today, the 5 year anniversary of buying it this weekend.

2B wash with Mother's California Gold, I also put in a capful of Duragloss Rinseless Wash, it seems to increase the lubricity. I also used my favourite Meg's lambswool mitt.

Dried with Bowden's After Glow

I may top up the NV Lustre later, but it does seem to be holding up really well.

I'll probably do the interior tomorrow. View attachment 73268View attachment 73269View attachment 73270View attachment 73271

Did a pretty intensive detail on the Toyota Lancruiser today.

This beast is very much utilized to the fullest of it's abilities and is fitted with a bull bar, winch, roof racks, long range tanks, roll out draws and a swinging rear spare wheel. Owned by one of my gardening clients, it has used the car for various outback travels and with 130,000 km on it, it feels brand new.

For a change of routine, I started by vacuuming the interior to get that time consuming job out of the way before staring on the exterior. As you can imagine, the amount of hidden dust on this thing was immense. Pressure rinsing took a very long time, as did getting the door jambs up to spec.

The finished result of several hours of detailing -

Now, I'm off to clean my driveway..........

Try to add some pics tomorrow but finished off detail with interior of mothers Rav4.

Vacuumed

Cleaned rubber floor mats with LATA (thanks Eldorado2k )

Cleaned interior panels, dash and leather seats with P&S Xpress interior cleaner and leather shoe brush.
1st P&S product i think lived up to the hype.

Coated dash and panels with PBL Leather &Vinyl coating. Thanks Mike Phillips

Topped it with 303 just cuz i’ve bought and never used. Not a fan. Didn’t like after applying i had to buff. Prefer to apply and be done. Not worth the effort when PBL L&V is so much more of an impressive product.

Coated with Gyeon Leathershield. Really like this if it last like results The Guz got. Easy to apply like a sealant. No buffing off. Made seats look alot better.

Yeah, my girlfriend and I bought 2014's within 2 weeks of each other. I had a 2014 hatchback which got totalled 1.5 yrs ago so I replaced it with a 2020.

After having polished the driver side of my wife’s earlier in the week, today I used griot’s panel wipe (employing Mike’s wet/inspection pass method). I then applied CQUARTZ Lite to the drivers side.

Not a whole lot. I gave the truck a quick wash, cleaned the bugs off of the wife's car and put away a bunch of my detail supplies and polishers.

Alot...see the thread I created in Water Cooler for more viewing pleasure

I don't know, I think I could have used more soap..........

No pics, but I vacuumed the interior of the FJ, then treated the vast amount of plastic inside with 303 Aerospace Protectant. I do have rubber mats, but the plastic floor underneath still gets pretty dirty, after looking on the shelf for something to wipe it down with, I decided on spraying it with some ONR, cleaned well, and didn't leave it slippery.
