What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Used Griots Correcting Cream on my fiancés Acura around all the chrome door handles, window edges and front/rear emblems.

Really makes them POP now!

Also had to take the front bumper off to replace a broken fog light…. Car has 278k miles she’s drove since new and never really cared for until I came around…. Since I had the hood up and bumper off figured I’d wipe the edge down. Used AMMO Brute out of a foamer with brushes and mircofiber I wiped it down and cleaned it up also. Topped it with Griots Engine Bay Dressing and really loving the shine!

278K...WOW! Let's see a full detail on that come spring! I love before and afters on real cars with real miles to see them come back to "like new" condition

I have been buying stuff up to do just that! I have the polishers/pads and product now just waiting for the time to do it! Wish I knew now 2 years ago when I started as it was a little rough…. But so far it’s looking a LOT better but I want to take it to the next step here shortly.

After reading about the IK Foam 12 and seeing how easy it is to pressurize with my Ryobi cordless inflator, I just ordered one, along with a new .5 litre Kwazer sprayer as the one I use for Alien Kleen doesn't double spray anymore. I'm glad there's been posts about it here lately, it helped with my decision and maybe this will help spring get here early, at the very least another freak day of warmth so I can use it sooner than later

Want to give this a shot, even after making fun of it lol.

Looks great. It's nice knowing that she's had it since new so you don't have to wonder what may have been done to it beforehand.

Yeah luckily she always took it to get maintenance done pretty well and was taking it to drive through car washes. But after a lot of miles and several years of sitting outside it is showing but honestly as it sits now it’s cleaner than most cars on the road just swirled paint. That will change shortly!

I have the liquid version, actually 2 bottles as one was free in a promo. I've only used it on our eye glasses and it's worked great

Looking forward to using it on my exterior auto glass, CarPro Clarify is for my inside glass as my windows are tinted and wanna use a quality, non-protection glass cleaner for that

What did you make fun of it about, curious

I was just disappointed at their SEMA products, this being one of them, being you can use CSS or 3 in 1 on glass too. So I didn't see the need for it. Now I'm curious to see if it holds up. As easy as it was to work with I will likely keep using it regardless.

I didn't want the can but that is all they had. Works really well with a mf applicator and waffle weave.

Now I'm debating getting the mini air compressor to attach to it or just use my Ryobi for initial pump up and then use muscles to do the rest. There's a chance it could void the warranty using it this way but it's made to be pumped up using an air compressor, why couldn't you just have a continuous rate of 55 psi, stay "tuned"

You can always just drill a hole for a tire valve stem and any pump up sprayer can be connected to to an inflator. I’ve done this on one of mine, works like a champ. :dblthumb2:

If you’re worried about over pressurizing it, just pump it up like you normally would and check the pressure. There’s your inflator setting.

I like the plain rubber 1” valve stems, though you could do a fancy aluminum one if you wanted.

We finally had a day above freezing and the ice has melted. The truck got a rinseless wash and then a layer of Beadmaker. I wanted to see if it would streak on a darker colored vehicle and there were no streaks. I love the product. The rental got a full bucket wash after a trip to Maine.

Happy Birthday Klasse Act! Mine is today. I have my eye on some of those Griot’s Crinkle Glass towels. Just got to see how the Ceramic Glass Cleaner did shedding water off the windshield yesterday and it was pretty good, especially for the ease of application. Better than the Glasspro Coating I’ve used on several of our vehicles.

Happy Birthday to you buddy

Happy belated Birthday to the both of you.

That sounds a lot like the extra crap dealerships are doing these days to stay afloat in this market. I had one recently tell me that "good news, we're not charging market adjustments and selling new cars at msrp but you'll need our 3M and Tint protection package. All just to protect your investment!"

Did your friend have that work done by the dealer at purchase?

Sounds like what my neighbor fell for when she bought her current Honda CUV.
It’s amazing what some people fall for when it’s “the dealer” selling them on it… $700+ she paid and a month later when I 1st washed it there was absolutely no water behavior at all. The worst part is she’ll try and nickel & dime me when it comes to doing her vehicle, which I haven’t touched in a very long time now.

I was like “you paid $700 bucks?! You could’ve paid me that money and I would’ve actually protected your car right”
Man that bugged me at the time.

Sounds like they want show car results but to cheap to pay for it out of pocket. I bet if you told her that she can finance it that she would pay it haha

When your done with Beadmaker try Dream Maker on that beautiful dark blue paint, it's THAT much better than Beadmaker

Took the car to the self wash bay, then came home and did a Reset bucket wash. There was no water beading on the bottom of the door panels or the rear window after the self wash. Definitely beading again after Reset. I thought the Griot's CGC on the rear window was gone but it was just covered up. I had put that on close to 6 weeks ago now. Applied ceramic speed shine and DG253 later.
