Can you come and work for me? I wish everyone took their job as serious as you.
As for the oily interior residue, I can deal with that pretty easily.
Another annoyance with these S550 Mustang's is the location of the oil filter is above a cross member, meaning that when the filter is removed it dumps oil all over the the place. You would think Ford or the dealer would invest in an appropriate devise to prevent this and save me having a panic attack when I see a few drips of oil on my garage floor the next day.
The dealership service model is not especially suited to enthusiasts who see a car as more than an A to B conveyance. I don't expect to be treated like royalty, but when a owner presents a car to the service department that is clearly more than a tool to get places, the appropriate care and attention to detail should be shown. I'm not dealer or service tech bashing here, I have dealt with some brilliant ones over the years, usually in smaller establishments where reputation is king.
Wow...that gray REALLY popsFinished product with can coat evo on the red truck, and gyeon pure evo on the denali.
First time with pure evo. Very nice product. Long working time. I found it to be easier to wipe off if i waited a good 5 minutes or more after application. Within 30 seconds or so it would flash...at tgat point if i tried to wipe off, it would be oily or hazy looking and not buff away very easily. Maybe climate was a factor.
Took me about half the truck to really figure out to wait atleast 5 minutes or more. It was easy peasy from then on.
Has darkening effect.
Interesting info...18 hours after application had it out in overcast sky checkin for high spots, and i found one high spot on the roof, and a spot under the mirror that was not fully buffed off. Used gyeon cure and a microfiber...and i was able to buff it away with some elbow power.
Sometimes good lighting can hinder wipe off...epecially with metal flake in paint.
Used flex machines, lc force pads, 3d 510, 3d 502
Disreguard not yet polished dirty wheels lol![]()

Yeah the kit comes painted factory color, even a tool to remove the badge and some product to promote adhesion as well. I wanted to have my vinyl buddy do satin black around the H to give it some definition, did this to my rear badge on the ES...stay "tuned"

Rinseless Wash On Black Porsche! Black Versus Red Sponge! ONR, ADG, Wolfgang Uber! - YouTube
This is obsurd️
I'm not blaming Brian but fir whatever reason everyone seems to think this Ivan guy walks on water, I don't get it one bit. He's very smug and tries to be funny, not a fan one bit...let's discuss this video

I don't normally watch Apex Detail's content, but I actually sought out this video today.
There is no way in hell I would use a brush like that on a car I cared for. I could maybe, kinda, sorta understand using a brush on something like a beater or a rental, but on a black Porsche 911, that was hard to watch.
There is absolutely no reason to use a brush, or not following industry best practices. I wonder if any of the people present at that 'display' would go home do that to their own cars? I know if I was there that day, I would be mighty annoyed to witness that "expert" demonstration.
I do think Ivan has a lot of knowledge to share, but the way he basically spends the whole time arguing his point as if to almost discredit decades of best practice in regards to car washing and detailing.
Also, who here would go straight from a iron remover and clay process with only a rinse with ONR to polishing paint? As in leaving the car wet and not drying the car.
Strange video.

Watch the video again and listen to the brush as it's used on the car...![]()
Couldn't stand the dust and dried up sprinkles any longer. Before work today I stopped at the quarter wash, sprayed down the rims with TWHS Hyper Foam and rinsed it down, used the foaming brush too....on the windowsFinished it off with wax and spot-free rinse and drove to work. Once I got there I used Auto-Fanatic 007 Gloss Enhancer to dry off the EN.
BTW it is going to storm tomorrow![]()
Well to be fair all I did was used that product that I mentioned as a drying aid and went over the whole carYou know what?? I'm gonna be the first person in the history of my company to bust out a bucket and do a rinseless wash during lunch. There's no way anyone has ever done that here.
Thanks for the inspiration LOL
The badging kinda blends with the color but I'm going to have satin black applied around the H badges to give it definition. See the N badge has chrome w/ a little black and red, so my idea would tie in there. I thought about black E L A N T R A letters and there's the panel available to remove and smooth out the front too...stay "tuned"![]()

Not sure why this guy has such a "glisner" for ONR or RW in general but he's becoming more over exposed than Snoop Dogg or Kevin Hart, have you ever noticed how available these guys area? Who knows, maybe Mr. Bow Tie will be doing a detailing video with Kevin Hart and his carshow he's got
If he was honest with his viewers he'd tell you when a RW/WW is needed and when a pre-wash foam and 2BM is THEE only way to go, but he doesn't and thus is a fraud and I'll never watch a video of his ever again, that Scrub brush on the 911 was enough for me, if people are mesmerized by him and his spinning bow tie, bucket of confetti, red nose a d big shoes, go for it![]()

Imagine the amount of people that saw this video, without any instruction or reference, that are brutalizing their paint, makes me cringe!I think he thinks you can rinseless most of the time with a PW pre rinse. I use rinseless and I still think it induces marring more than the whole pre/snow foam bucket wash method.
It’s what worries most people than rinseless and this video did nothing to address that.
A rinseless can clean as well as a bucket wash…. Can it do it without marring more?![]()
